thanks, Shari...can you link me to something that'll help give me the same sort of "birds-eye view" awareness of the pairings that you used to answer my question

I was a wrestler at hi-school and college, and am used to "knockout-tournament" charts (same sort of thing people use in pools for March Madness)...round of 64 begets round of 32 begets round of 16 begets round of 8 (quarter-finals)...etc...but for tennis, I've yet to locate something like this...all the discussion seems to be "fly on the painting" analysis of today's/tomorrow's matches...

anyhow where can i find "birds eye view" charts for tennis tournaments like this...the same sort of chart you must have referred to when you answered my question about TWQuarter bets

    appreciated

      Well looking at Thursdays matches...

EP will bar b q me..but the way tippy played and with the home crowd behind him, chardy is a live dog.He has played a hell of a lot more clay matches this year and the price even seems a bit high, expected more of +300 or so considering the conditions. Maybe a first set play if you are afraid of Chardy fukking you later on.

Also,Giraldo at +110.Never trust tomic on clay.Way more experience for Giraldo.

      As far as the women...
Dont know if Razzano, has anything left in the tank here.Too many times I see big upsets and then the next match they are bone dry fir effort.Rus -120

I really think Pavly has something to prove this tourney. She can make up for a crap year with a good showing by winning until sharapova.Czink is nothing special. One year ago this line would have been -500.

How about Shedova? Has good history at RG,had to QF to get in.Arviddson has never made it past the 1st round until now.Wouldnt you rather have the player with experience at a pick em??

IMO the only value with those 3 futures lies with Murray. Just my 2c.

The problem is that won't carry people through until they actually win. That's what I tried first for him. Not sure why they set it up like that but whatever you click, you always see Djoko/Devilder or Djoko/Kavcic.

fitguy, I'll send you a PM with my username and password to the Tennis Channel contest. It's bracket style like the NCAA so you can view all potential matchups.

I'd tread lightly. Dumb fukk acted like he won a tournament at the end of that match against Lu. Yeah sure, be glad you got the win - but it should have been a sigh of relief from a masterful choke job that you somehow veered out of. I could see maybe taking a shot at Chardy on the handicap. Tipsarevic obviously isn't the most well versed clay court player, but if anyone is going to come out flat tomorrow - Chardy is my bet.

It'd be so great if Giraldo won this but the only thing that scares me is how different they are in grand slam success, Tomic continues to come up with big wins in grandslams and while I know Giraldo has had tough draws at slams, all he has is 3 2nd round runs at the AO and Falla was his first win at RG. This one will be a joy to watch

Yet again I'm stuck rushing to get my picks in. So far I'm on the Gajdosova handicap out of spite and Tomic for the early matches. Hate scrambling like this to beat the clock. GL today EP!

Shari - is that +1.5 Set Gadjosova?

What do you think of Arvidsson....the odds has been dropping from even to sligthly favor Arvidsson...she is playing good right now.

                                Parlay: Tomic + Arvidsson

I took Gajdosova +6. Personally I wouldn't parlay Tomic and Arvidsson because their odds are playable on their own. You don't want to get stuck with losing the parlay when you could've almost broken even if you took them separately and only one wins. I like Arvidsson in this one but Shvedova can be dangerous. She has great shot selection and ball placement when her head's together.

Meh. Looks like the typical pattern of losing the 1st bet of the day. Thought Paire's serve would hold up a little better than it has against Ferrer to at least get one tighter set to help the over's cause. Not to be apparently.

                                          Feeling stupid today.

                                          Almagro-Baghdatis Over 33.5 [-140]
Baggy is not an accomplished dirt baller, but his serve when working can keep him tight against most on all-courts. Always something a little lazy about how Almagro plays some times at different stages @ Grand Slams. He was pretty solid against Lorenzi to open, but did leave a dozen break points dangling about. His tendency has been to let sets go deep and then net the win late to the tune of 7-5, 7-6. Baggy has been up, down and all-around on this surface ... but I have a feeling that he's going to compete well today. This is one that could even win in a straight sets loser for the Cypriot, but he could well steal a set if his serve hold steady.

I'd kick this Tomic tosser in the nards if I ever got close enough to do it. I lose 99% of the matches I bet involving him no matter which side I'm on.

haha shimeon, that's an awesome analysis of Tomic! I agree with every word... right down to the cap. Let him stay in Monaco or wherever the f he's living now. I think his head has gotten too big already and he doesn't have a lot to back it up yet. Kid doesn't even belong in the same hemisphere as Hewitt let alone how media people try to compare the two of them. Despite the fact that he cost me some cash tonight, I'm glad the prick lost. At least now I won't have to hear his name on the news constantly this week.

I treat Tomic like I treat Simon Shari. If he is playing someone for the first time who isn't great on the surface they are playing on, I would take Tomic if the price is right. His quirky bullshit is tough to handle often for first timers. He's someone too that I think you really have to see how he holds up playing a full-time schedule for an entire season. He might be worthwhile to follow or fade by the US Open Series depending on how he pans out.

As I said in my post with those two plays, I picked her out of spite for Woz. I think I've only taken her a couple of times in the year since she broke up with Sam because I never know which side of her will appear. But I did expect she'd put up more of a fight than this.

And yeah EP, I really like that angle on both of those guys although I'm still staying the fukk away from Tomic for a long time now. Maybe if I see you take him I'll tail but he's just one of those guys like Querrey for me. I get it right maybe 1 time out of 10 so there's no point in putting myself through unnecessary grief.

They have algorithms and math geniuses to figure out lines for them and every time I win or lose by one or even win by the hook, I sit there stunned by how dead on they are. Same thing when I'm grading props for the NBA or NFL in the SBR book. So often they hit spot on the number or are only off by 1 or the hook. I need my head checked.
