Yeah, always fishy when you get retirements in matches as to whether the guy is going to finish out a set or not. With Dolgopolov especially.

Still a debate to me which I prefer, one set books or ones that need the match to be completed. Don't really have an accurate representation of whether it hurts or helps in the long run. I know last week it helped on a match that I played it at a one set book. Probably 50-50, I guess ... I think I actually prefer the full-match books. Might lose out on some wins, but good God I enjoy getting saved on a shit dikk like Dolgopolov today.

Ramos +125
I had this one marked last night and kind of just kept it in the pending category to think about while I slept. Nalbandian worries me right now as I think he's back into Fat Dave mode of not being fit enough to compete from match to match. He quit the Belgrade tournament after he lost in singles, pulling out of doubles - citing fatigue. He then went to Madrid and lost to Raonic. That's not horrible considering the way that surface played, but the bottom line is that Nalbandian has not looked that great since Indian Wells. Ramos' Madrid performance aganist Delbonis was poor, but maybe should have been expected on the weird surface. Back on the red clay, Ramos has worked two matches in qualis already so he should have a little leg up on Nalbandian. He has been a steady performer this season and I think if he makes Nalbandian work and run around, Fat Dave will show up and perhaps help us. Vamos Ramos.

Thought and/or still thinking about it. He's just been such a shitbag on clay though. I do like that he played Fognini tough on clay just a few tournaments ago and Fognini might be getting a bit too much of a bump on price due to the home court angle, but he hasn't played well at this tournament - so that is a poor angle IMO.

ATP Bordeaux: Machado +105
Machado has actually found some decent form on the Challenger level after a terrible start to 2012. His last two Challengers have seen him make the semis and a finals appearance. Mathieu is the opponent. I look at this clay form this year and generally, he's beaten guys with lesser experience, but been pummeled by the likes of Garcia-Lopez, Istomin and Nishikori. Machado isn't at their level obviously, but this is his territory and I think Mathieu is getting the respect of playing in France with this price, otherwise not sure why this is above a pick 'em line.
