courts playing faster than recent years and soderling serve and forehand will give nadal alotta problems on the grass,

this play is a loss but you have no right to comment here because you know nothing about tennis and have never participated in any tennis subforum.
Hoopster, I think you should rethink it, and if not, just taking Soderling to win 3-2. It's way better value than the ML.
Soderling's strokes will give nadal 0 problems. Nadal has been playing serve and volley and has proven thus far that he can win points at the net and that's how you win wimbledon. YOu don't win wimbledon with groundstrokes and a fast serve if you can't play the net.

ferrer gave sod problems but it was a fluke match, nadal is not 100% and soderling is hitting through this faster grass court, he is a major major live dog tomorrow versus nadal

with nadal's injuries, he could retire with any score like sod 1-0, or 2-0, or 1-1, or 2-1, or 2-2, just like he did in australia. its too risky to just take sod to win in 5 sets. he could also win 3-0 or 3-1 if nadal's injuries flare up. if anyone is leaning sod, +146 is the play. thats it. and for me, it's only a .5 unit play so smaller than my usually small 1 unit plays

The term "live dog" is right up there with "sharp" or "square" plays in terms of terminology that makes my skin crawl. There was nothing flukey about Ferrer sticking with Soderling. Soderling made way too many errors, including 11 double faults. This comes down to two things, first & foremost if Nadal's knees are feeling good. He has said it comes and goes, obviously did not hurt last match against Mathieu. Secondly, Soderling and errors. If he makes as many errors as he did against Ferrer, he won't beat Nadal.

Men's bracket is worth being up for in the AM or DVR the matches.

Most definitely was not a fluke match. He had a brain fade in the 2nd and 4th and dealt out more UEs than most people can remember from him in a long time. 19 aces and 11 double faults won't cut it against Nadal especially when his first serve is actually working for him.
Either way, you're only putting $50 on it and it will be a great match. I have a Soderling future but I've pretty much kissed that cash goodbye. I was all about Nadal and his injuries before the last match but he's proven that he's figured out a way to deal with whatever's going on with his knees and his arm so this is a no play for me other than maybe the total.
Best of luck Hoopy!

thats exactly why it was a fluke match, because we're not used to seeing such sloppy play from soderling, i believe he was caught looking ahead to this nadal match because he knew nadal would beat mathieu, this is a golden opportunity for soderling and he knows it

What I meant was - he used to do this all the time and managed to find a way to control both his behaviour/mind and his UEs until this match. But this is inherently who he is in my opinion. He's found a way to manage it but it will always be there under the surface. Remember in '07 at Wimbledon when he was mocking Nadal on the court and pretending to imitate him? Yeah, that was 3 years ago but the fact that he had a mental slip against Ferrer for two sets leads me to believe that he will be punished for it in this match, regardless of the reason for it. Believe me, gambling wise I hope I'm wrong because I'd love to see Soderling advance purely for my future bet's sake, but realistically I can't back Soderling in this match against Nadal. Not only is there too much bad blood between them but Nadal has a mind like a steel trap.
