Some food for thought regarding Querrey for those who didn't see his most recent effort.

In his match against Schuettler he broke two racquets, frequently yelled at himself, and revealed that he'd hardly practised his serve since Wimbledon (he hit nine double faults).

Querrey: "My serve (stinks) right now. I don't have that consistency of that knee bend and fluid motion. It's getting better every day, though. The movement and speed around the court is really helping me win matches."

"I was a mental head case out there. I still got through it. I need to somehow figure out how not to do that out there. I was Debbie Downer."

Plus: Tipsy's first serve % this week so far is 64%, Querrey's is 58. Tipsy's held serve 86% of the time, Querrey 68.

I just think there's value in the odds with Tipsy, especially because Querrey has been gifted 2 matches in a row from players who couldn't close them out when they were in the position to win.

Yeah somewhat from what I've seen. But I'm not sure if it'll be enough. I'm really considering taking either the 3 set bet or both of them to win 2-1.

That would be the icing on the cake. Even if he somehow doesn't win, I'll still be pleased that I beat the closing line on a bet I feel has tremendous value.

I'm coming off a week in which two wnba teams couldn't score 5 points in 3 mins to get the over, an underdog couldn't cover +8 despite being tied with 2 mins 30 secs left in the game and a MLB team couldn't cover the -1.5 RL despite leading 6-2 in the 9th innings.

So simply because I'm on Groth means she'll find a way to lose

I hear you. But the only consolation I can give to you is that you've put your money on a strong player who will not quit. Unless she physically can't walk, she'll do what she can to win this match. And at the price that we got her for, that's the best we can ask for!

I went against her in the last round and also backed Pavly in her match. I was wrong on both counts. I should've backed Groth last time and should've stayed away from Pavly, although I'm happy I got lucky in the end because other people tailed my pick. I still feel good about our bet right now.

No delay that I know of. But sometimes books are off with start times if there was a match on before (not sure if a doubles one was played before this).

I interviewed Jarmilla three years ago after she won a qualy match for the Gold Coast hardcourt tournament they used to have in early January (I used to be a sports reporter for ch 9 on the gold coast) .. I was impressed by how "heavy" she hit the ball back then but her weight and mobility were obvious weaknesses -----> Cannot believe the physical transformation she's undergone since then.

I will never underestimate Groth again. I'm still kind of pissed that I did in the last match. This chick means business and if her 'slow start' means losing in a first set tiebreak, I'll still always be happy to get her at + money.

Now hopefully she can finish this chubby arse off!!
