Hey blacky -

I honestly just haven't felt like gambling the past week or two. I go through phases like this probably 2-3 times per year. The last one was in December - no tennis on and I couldn't be bothered to look at other sports so I took a break for 3 weeks.

I put a lot of work into my picks, even more so when I post them on here because I obviously don't want to give anyone a loser, and I think sometimes my brain just needs a break. Probably more so because since January, I went pretty hardcore there for a few weeks, following many tournaments simultaneously so I think I just needed a bit of a rest.

Once Indian Wells is over, I'll be back into it but I don't jump in tournaments once they've started as I feel it puts me at a big disadvantage when I haven't followed from the beginning.

Thank you everyone though for noticing my absence in here. It means a lot

When you look at the mens, I'd love to hear your opinion of Dev Varman's chances Shari. Against Starace and for the tourney.

I watched him play Nadal the other day and was so impressed I decided to back him every chance I get. He didn't just win, but crushed every opponent at Indian Wells before making Nadal fight as hard as he would have to against a top 5 player. His 2011 record looks as good as most top 20 players as well.

He had a good serve and just played percentages against Nadal, but his biggest weapon was his attitude I thought. He was so cool Nadal looked badly rattled by comparison.

Good win by Lino. She fought the whole way and looked to have botched it after losing the 2nd set TB, and then getting broken first up in the 3rd, but came back strong *strong meaning only getting broken once more after that
