Well guys I was doing some math here with regards to my +3300 Soderling outright trying to figure out how to hedge this thing out right now. I don't want to come along this far and have Robin lose today to Roddick and it all goes to waste. I was trying to figure out what price Soderling would be against Nadal and its tough to call. The last time the two played which was right at the end of 2009 Nadal was -125ish which is probably where the line would be around. Of course if he played Ljubicic instead in the finals the line would be Soderling as a big favorite. Thinking I could possibly wait until after the Nadal match to see who wins and then hedge out my Soderling outright BUT the bad thing is that I am not going to be around the computer the rest of the day so I have to do it now.Oh well. Betfair has a Soderling to "not win" bet of approximately -290 BUT I can't bet enough to successfully hedge the bet that way. So what I am going to have to do is to bet on Roddick today and then to bet on Soderlings opponent tomorrow if he makes it to the final. Should still be able to make some great money this way but I think it would have been easier to just bet the -290 not to win at Betfair if there was enough money available.
So today I am just going to have a bet on Roddick at +132
Nadal is going to be tough to beat here but at -600 or so against Ljubicic, pass.

Well its a good thing I hedged out that future because Soderling lost.Would have came away with nothing from it had I let it ride till the final.
Ljubicic is another player that roddick has owned his whole career.They have played 12 times in their careers and Roddick has won nine of them. I don't really know how Ljubicic has come out of nowhere here to reach it to the final. He's knocked off both Djokovic and Nadal in the last week. He is obviously a man on a mission right now so I think I am just going to stay away from this match.
The womens final is going to be very interesting. Jankovic is 3-0 career head to head vs Wozniacki. 2 of those matches were in 2008 when Caroline was a totally different player so they don't hold much weight here. I think this match is a complete toss up so I see lots of value in the +130 you can get with Jankovic. I can't go all day with no action on tennis so that is the play that I am going to make. I may play Jankovic-Wozniacki the same way I played Roddick-Soderling. Liked the over, but chose to go with the prop that the match ends in three sets for plus money instead of ponying up chalk for the actual over.Comment -
I really think Wozniacki is gonna dominate this game. I've been watching Jankovic and once she loses her spark, shes done with.

Jankovic is straight running Wozniacki off the court. Jankvic has already broken her 4 or 5 times now and it's the 4th game of the 2nd set. Jankovic is striking the ball damn good and running Wozniacki around. Wozniacki doesn't look near as sharp as she did Friday.Comment -

Roddick had break and set point but missed out and went on to lose the 1st set. Thanks Roddick. Ljubicic is all serve and not much else. When you get to actually return his serve you have to take advantage. Roddick didn't do that at all in the tiebreak. Two 2nd serves in a row from Ljubicic and Roddick returned both of em out. You have to take advantage of Ljubicic's 2nd serve!!!Comment -
Roddick choked. He had a lot of break chances during 1 game in the 1st set and 1 game in the 2nd set and couldn't convert on any of them. In both tiebreaks it wasn't even close. Fukk you Roddick.Comment -
Was very surprised Roddick lost that final. I didn't get a chance to see the match but you would have thought Ljubicics run could not last all the way to the end but I guess it did. Look for him to fall off the map again as usual though. He has cost me so much money in the past he is almost entering into James Blake territory as far as that goes. No one will ever top James though.
Good to see that some of you guys were on Jankovic. Didn't think the match would be that one sided though.
We have some good clay court events coming up in April and of course the French Open at the end of May. Can't wait for that. Will be good to see how Nadal fares on the clay. If he doesn't win everything on it then you will definately know something is very wrong.
