I think Roddick will be upset in the next three rounds.

I haven't looked at the matchups yet, but I will likely be fading him.

Murray not looking good.

If Robbie Kendrick is battling you to a standstill, you won't be advancing deep into the tournament.

Thanks for the Santoro pick. Ended up making a nice little parlay between Mathieu, Ferrer, Ram and Safin also...gotta say that I faded you on the Safin match. Just hoping that Safin turns this business around and Ram finished out his match to make my parlay hit.

3rd set oughta say a lot about the Safin-Levine Match. Safin got into it in the 2nd with an early break. If he stays consistent off his play in the 2nd set, he'll probably win the 3rd. But who knows with him.

One thing I noticed and it may not pan out with another day of rest for some, but look at the losers on Day 1. Wickmayer, Tanasugarn, Dancevic ... all involved in Finals matches over the weekend. The heavy schedule may have killed them.

Not overly impressed with Fish on grass. Tipsy has made a couple good runs in the last two Wimbledons. Taking the better price.

Cirstea Tomorrow?

Mirza hasnt got past the 2nd round at wimbledon in 4 previous attempts while Cirstea is coming off a QF run at RG. She is also peaking right now at a career high WTA ranking of 27. In the first round Mirza had trouble with the fat/slow Groenefeld piling up 27 unforced errors. Cirstea breezed by Gallovits winning the second set in 17 mins with 14 unforced errors for the match. Im guessing mirza is the fav here because she has more GS exp. and Sorana is only 19. Mirza is only 22 herself and she has a track record of underperforming at this tourney. Rational thought would make me take the girl whos playing the the best tennis of her young career at nice price of +125.

Any insights?

Sucky pick on Tipsarevic. Damn I lost my mojo moving yesterday. I had Sela and Koubek marked as possible upsets today, but didn't bet either.

The Daily Telegraph reported that police are investigating the theft of a lorry load of Adidas sportswear – 390 boxes of shirts, shorts and other clothing – which was en route to tennis players at The Championships. The kit was stolen from a truck parked overnight in east London last week, but an Adidas spokesman confirmed, “Adidas was able to replace all the items within 24 hours so none of the tennis players were affected”.

Waited a little and wound up with Gicquel at +150. We'll see how that pans out. Still waiting for the other two legs of my parlay with Cilic & Karlovic.

Man this suspension of play is killer. Hit 3/4 legs of a parlay and just need Seppi to close out his match to hit the whole thing. Any idea what books do in the case of a suspension?

Most books that I know of let the suspended match ride until the following day. Usually the only reason to grade it as no-action would be if your book as some rule on a match needing to be completed in "X" amount of days. Wednesday got me up .6 a unit thanks to the parlay. Going against you though as I have Gicquel still pending. Hoping he can force a 5th set. That one seems destined for a tie break in the 4th although suspensions have a funny way of killing momentum for players. Don't think it helps or hurts Seppi or Gicquel. Seppi knows he can close it out and Gicquel knows he has to win the set to continue.

DAY 4

1. Parlay (Berdych/Becker)
Pays 1.3:1. I think both have superior grass court games vs. their opponents, Mathieu for Berdych, Melzer for Becker. Berdych has a nice track record at the All-England club & Becker is red hot, having won The Netherlands tournament and showing no signs of fatigue in Round 1.

2. C.S. Navarro +155
Testing this one out. Navarro takes on Makarova. Makarvoa actually won LESS points than her opponent Strycova in Round 1, but still won in 3 sets. Some suggest that means trouble in the next round. Navarro was solid against Kanepi who admittedly is not a great grass court player. Both are pretty inexperienced on the Slam level on this surface, so it could go either way. Suarez Navarro to me is still a young lady who could be a force at all the Slams because of her great return game. Any time she serves well, she has a shot to beat just about anyone.

Hmm, have to disagree with the Becker call. Sure he's been hot but he beat a bunch of slighty below-par guys who have been exposed - Schuettler is out, Llodra is out (but probably would've lost, really), Verdasco struggled with Vliegen. I think this is more of a toss-up play if anything, the fatigue MAY set in if this match goes long, Dancevic had nothing in the tank against Darcis after his 2nd place last week either.

Looking at Hewitt to pull an upset tomorrow. A lot of people expect Del Potro to ride easily, but Hewitt is a grass guy, and a competitor if there ever was one. Throwing a unit on Hewitt and hoping to wake up with a little more $$ in my account.

MAKAROVA TO D SUAREZ-NAVARRO @ 1.64 on betfair
Suarez is just a typical clay court player with very solid baseline game suited for slow surfaces. She has just 1 good win outside of the clay (V.Williams at Australian Open 09) with some 20-30 losses on faster surfaces.
Makarova is probably at her best at grass with flat hard shots and she had a few good wins on the grass as well (Zvinareva last year, Mauresmo a week ago).
