I would probably win. If I remember correctly the spread was +7 Jano against Murray since it was best out of 5 sets. Which isn't bad considering any murray won wimbledon. Also he covered in the upset wins such as beating tsonga and Gasquet and in that tournament with fed he covered every single match. The game will do the talking. Each of us can keep helping our cause but what it boils down too is what happens today.

yeah, but you are supporting your choice by saying that he elevates his game when playing against the best which is not the case at all on this surface

Also what really matters is how they play against that opponent and since they never played each other it's a real hard match to call.

Agreed - but I guess we can still tell who will be right
my position - jano is a choker atm, will spray UEs and nadal's consistency will kill him off making him unable to cover the spread ->easy two set roll for rafa
your position - jano will put his shit together against a big name, use his strong serve and flat hitting to keep up the pace with nadal, cover the spread and mb even pull an upset

so unless there's some in-between scenario, like jano playing awfully great but still not being able to cover due to nadal playing like god, or nadal hurting himself again, limping around the court and moving slow (or something similar none of us expected), I think we will be able to distinguish who was right at the end

More so than otherwise anyway. I agree with you partly but at these odds I'm more than willing to take a shot. Even if he has been lackluster his last couple matches you never know when someone lights up. Especially not someone like Jerzy Shorts.

yep that's right...when he gets confident he can place a winner practically from any place on the court. and yes, those players tend to play better against better ones.

to show that atm he is in trouble playing against top players regardless of the surface ... Jerzy is talented (TOP 20 for sure) but mentally he is TOP 100 atm, and mostly because of his arogance and stuborness
