#72Sharpcat, your statements about Justbet are undoubtedly true. However, you assume that most bettors are like you, trying to get an edge when betting.
Justbet business model is targeted toward recreational bettors. The rec bettors do not need high limits, early openers or bet on obscure leagues. They also do not have accounts on many books, trying to get that extra half point on the spread. What they want are a safe book with quick payments. They also love large bonuses, even if the rollover is large. In short, they Just bet in a game to have fun, hoping to win but not as a steady source of income. And in truth, JustBet may be the best option for such players.
I know the frustration of having a large rollover to do in JustBet but unable to find any great price for weeks. And in the few times that there was a good bet, the low limits prevent you to finish the rollover anytime soon. I ended forcing plays in the few MLB lines that matched the Pinny prices (only once I got a better price than Pinny). I thought they shaded the lines to one side trying to attract bets on that side, so I thought I was helping them to balance action. However, after a winning streak they further limited me. But they were very classy with me, offering to cash out immediately without any penalty for the pending rollover.
So, that is Just Bet business model. In fact, it is quite similar to the Legends model (same limits and few options, better bonuses and MLB lines for Jusbet, occasional good prices and smaller rollover at Legends). And as I said, for the rec bettor (aka Square) such outs may be the best value around.Comment -

#74Bookmaker/DSI do this too, as do many other casinos and sportsbooks. I use google voice now so I just don't have to deal with it. But all of them will stop calling if you ask them too. Just answer and ask them to stop calling and the calls will end.Comment -

#75I don't know what all the bashing is about.Who else gives a 100% sportsbook bonus?I dealt with Scott and knew exactly what i was buying into,no bullshit,no casino extras like some of these shops pull.If you want in and out go somewhere with no bonus and no roll.Bet Jamaica has the same limits for me and no where near the bonus offer. There is no such thing as free money, you've got to listen and make up your own mind. All I can say is these guys were straight with me.Comment -

#76Would you say that any of the negatives that I have pointed out about JustBet are untrue? Are their wagering limits not a joke? Are their casino payouts not rape compared to other casinos? Are they not cowards for being the last book to put lines up? Do they not offer an extremely limited amount of betting options? I am not trying to hurt JustBet they are hurting themselves, I am simply urging them to step their game up and stop being such a cowardly bookmaker. Take a little risk from time to time there is absolutely no reason for them to wait until so late to put lines up with such low limits when they clone Pinnacle lines so aggressively. If you want to shill for them that is fine by me but please at least make an attempt to support your argument with facts rather than personal insults.
but let me ask you this
is bet grande a joke?
they are exactly the same other than the limits are higher
but then again mine are only 1 dime per with them so i guess i should be bashing them
some books close. they take down all lines, then they reopen the next day and put them back up after they sharpen them.
there procedures do not make them different than a lot of places.
some do have overnight lines and open 24/7. these are the larger books.
i don't really know if they are underfunded or not. but the things you point out do not show they are under funded. what it does show is that you really aren't that experienced with books.
you know a lot i have followed some of your posts.
this one should not be out thereComment -

#79As I mentioned on another thread with them - I really have to advise against playing there. I talked with them about opening an account there and getting a deposit bonus, all of which was fine by them, saying they'd give me a 100% freeplay. Then after I deposited, they suddenly told me that they had decided that I was not eligible for a bonus after all!
How can any book that calls themselves reputable pull a stunt like that? The live operator was very apologetic about it, but naturally part of me has to think they lied about that on purpose just to trick me into depositing. No one's forcing you to offer me or anyone else a bonus, but you can't agree to give me one then conveniently change your mind AFTER I went through the trouble of depositing (and you have my $ trapped in your book for at least awhile).
So again, I would avoid dealing with them - who knows how many others they might do this to. It's rather shocking to me that any book could make such a poor business decision. Sometimes you make a mistake, and you have to eat it, but instead refusing to take responsibility for their mistake is likely to cost them much more business in the future than one deposit bonus could possibly be worth. That's not exactly the sign of a strong business model to me...Comment -

#83ArunSH,
I am back after a week off, This was just a decision made by our Risk Manager.
You were offered to be resent the funds and the fees paid off, you still went ahead with the process, nothing shady at all.
We made sure that before the funds were posted you understood that, again, you decided to proceed.Comment -

#88Shark79,
That is not true. He offered to let me cancel the transaction but said I would have to eat the fees. Given that and the time I'd wasted, I decided to go through with it.
And to claim it's not shady to offer me a bonus and then to decide AFTER I deposit to not give it to me is absurd. Again, no one forced you to offer a bonus, and I would have been perfectly ok with you saying I was not eligible. But you offered it, led me to deposit and then conveniently changed your mind after I wasted two hours depositing via **. Everything about that smells as though you solicited a deposit under false pretenses being fairly sure that no one would want to eat the fees for no reason and would more than likely just say "whatever I'll play there now since I have $ on there".
But I'm repeating myself at this stage so no point in continuing it. I would just have to advise people against playing here - again a book which offers a bonus and then changes its mind after they have your $ doesn't seem like a trustworthy place to play.Comment -

#92Just joined yesterday and funded my account, no problem at all. justbet rep was very friendly on phone and my 100% free play was added within 15 minutes. So far so good. I don't however like the late lines and inability to parlay any college games at this time since they are all circled games with a single bet limit of 500. Jstbet rep said the circle lines will go away prior to game start.Comment -

After weekly emails and phone calls offering 100% on a reload plus other goodies I sent them a dime. An hour later Sharky Galloway calls me saying bossman won't give a bonus because I posted a win last year. So I could play with no bonus or get a withdraw for the deposit amount +fees. So really no big deal since they gave me the option for the full refund, just an inconvenience. The Account Managers should verify accounts are eligible for bonuses before promising them.

Convenient the way they do that to people (as they did to me also). Clearly they are soliciting deposits under false pretenses and hoping once people have gone through the trouble that they won't cancel the transaction and will just play there anyway. Offering a bonus to someone then deciding after the fact that they aren't actually eligible is absurd.Comment -

#98I was considering opening account with them, now that i read this...it doesn't seem like it
There are many decent shops around but I would AVOID PULSEBET.COM
They are a real shady outfit that needs to use attractive women in order to solicit customers and are unrated by SBR.
They also seem to pay people to spam up various gambling forums saying how great they are.

#99Sharky can you help me out on this one. I recently joined justbet and found my way on SBR to make sure they were a legitimate choice. Quick question. I recently placed a wager on Diamondbacks at -136 to win $10, simple math tells me it should clost me 13.60, it didn't $14 came out of my account. I called cust. serv. and the guy tried to tell me the system visually(at the wager screen) rounds up but the actual cents are in my account. Before the bet I had $42 in my account after placing teh wager my account is $28, so I called back and he then stated visually here as well it says 28 but you actually have 28.40. How do I know this is the case and they are not taking the difference in this case 40 cents every wager I place. Seems like to me the website would show down to the penny and not be rounding visually, never heard of a site doing that ever.

#105I know this thread is pretty old but I've never used an online betting service and was planning on using justbet.com. after reading this idk if it's the right site to go with. I only plan on depositing 500 to start, so there low limits doesn't concern me much I just care about service, and payouts. can anyone recommend a better site for a recreational gambler thats fairly easy to use and has good customer feedback, or should i just go with this one?Comment
