Someone already brought this up probably.. but does the US Govt have to "try" and shut them down. Wouldnt they have just taken over like every other site they deal with. (Fulltilt, Stars, TVShack)

This seems like a classic DOS attack to me. I went through this with BetPhoenix I think it was sometime last year or the year before. It was terrible and frustrating, but it's obviously not a seizure. If it was a seizure, it would be done and there would be multiple stories about it at any reputable news site - much like they did when the poker sites got shut down.

No offense to the OP here, but unless people have some sort of proof of things that they claim like this - it's very wreckless and seems more of a vendetta against a book than trying to give useful information.

If govt wanted it they would have it and we would all know without a doubt. 5dimes site has been having problems off and on for last 2weeks

I have zero vendetta against 5Dimes. I actually love the book. I have money deposited in there.

But they issued an announcement and let their customers know what's going on.

That is a much better way of dealing with it than not letting the customers know what is happening.

Its a typical Russian hackers attack... They do it extort money from the sportsbooks. Its happened frequently different books over the years.... used to happen fairly often on Sundays during NFL season.

If the US wanted to take down the domain, it would be down in a second with a screen saying the FBI seized it.. MORON.

5Dimes said the same thing. Kind of funny that PS/FT get shut down and now all of a sudden two of the biggest sportsbooks are getting DOS attacks and their sites are going down.
