I hear much praise about them, why? They're rated B-; did they not give SBR enough money or something?
The lines look like some of the best on the market, software looks subpar. Payouts? Security? Customer Service? Why aren't they an A?

With 5Dimes you have 5 percent juice. I think that sounds real good to me. I am considering getting an account with them because that is a good deal.

Bookmaker is useless to me. Some people always talk about their openers but most people bet at the last minute me included.

You need as many A rated outs as possible. Even B+ is acceptable. A couple of sharp books, a couple of square books (defined as recreational books that shade favorites and overs primarily), and an exchange for a minimum of 5 books if you're close to serious about betting sports.

5 dimes is going to have less juice but in my experience they're a much bigger pain to deal with.

You will almost always get a better number at 5dimes. While the best number will be at Matchbook, the there will be less selection, props and some lines, MMA for example, will not have action for quite some time.

for baseball, no doubt, use 5dimes. but use a book that transfers into matchbook too.

If your average wager is below $500, I would say 5dimes is a much better option..
Agreed but if I had to choose 5D over bookmaker for reduced juice but keep a little at bookmaker for their early lines

Definitely a good move to 5D. Leave Bookmaker to the high rollers.

Great move, unless you win a lot. Don't burn your bridges with bookmaker, but just use 5dimes.

If you are a loosing player, it doesn't matter where you play. But if you are a winning player, then 5dimes will kick you out very soon.

Unfortunately, although 5D will not lie to you, they are famous for withholding vital information and having different rules for different players.
They have never been rude or hostile in my dealings with them, but it very hard to pin them down to a direct answer to a direct question.
My advice is to get everything agreed to by email before you deposit 1 red cent, and make sure it is crystal clear what is entailed to get a payout.
Save all your emails for review by SBR.

also, many books will say "you may have to this or that or come up with this documentation for a payout, but it is unlikely." Rest assured, you will. And they have every right to do it, cause they used the words "you may"
Make sure you don't fall for these trix and traps.

I've been successful with 5dimes for a while and I haven't been collared. Then again, I don't ever show steam or hedge patterns that most books frown upon. Just straight bets with most placed 1-2 hours before game time.
Different strokes for different folks apparently.

I use both books but if you play tennis at 5Dimes and your player retires even if they are winning YOU LOSE. On the same play at Bookmaker you are saved with no action. And not to mention Tony at 5Dimes is a jerk but they do pay quick and have a ton of betting options.

Good move for a smaller player (reduced juice) but why not keep both?
