    Why does Matchbook ...
... hang any spread on -x.0 - wouldn't putting everything on a .5 be much better for business?

    For the football 3.0's - offer a 2.5 and 3.5?
Why ever offer an MLB o/u at 8.0 or 9.0?

Baseball totals and certain NFL games have to be on whole numbers for two sided action

Why is this a question specifically for Matchbook instead of all books?

Because Matchbook needs an outcome for commissions to be charged.

And how much money does a regular book make when there is a push?

isn't it a good thing that matchbook isn't skewing the lines so they can profit?

And their volume suffers because of it. When they are off market the volume is notably lower than when they have the market line; something that would only be exaggerated at Matchbook given the way they seem to be used.

Right. I don't use BF but I give baseball betting advice to a friend in the UK who uses BF for a lot of his bets, and for the most part if I suggest he bet ov9, it's tough for him to get a bet matched on BF's ov8.5 or ov9.5, even though his offer is a competitive translation with the market's ov9 line.

Tradesports used to price every game at a .5. It did create some weird line. though (i.e. large favorite on a point spread), when they guess wrong and went off in the direction opposite the market. (E.G. game "opens" at 3, but every book quickly goes to 3.5 and Tradesports goes to 2.5)

that gives players more options to wager.

                          Understand points made ...
Why not always offer the alt-line right out of the gate though?

                          ex:
                          Falcons -3 at Steelers

offer -3.5, -7.5, +3.5 etc. like a lot of books do

                              I repeat

matchbook and wsex both owned by the same company
EURO SPORTS EXCHANGE LIMITED, 11-15 WILLIAM ROAD, LONDON

why should matchbook be safer than slow-paying wsex?

                              anyone?
