Now I don't know if collusion is the exact term for what's going on, but I'm in the market to get some Sportsbook cash using my SBR points. I'd love to get the cash at BetPhoenix or WagerChief, but according to CS at Phoenix, the minimum withdrawal for a free payout is $500. The minimum withdrawal with a $30 fee is $200. So essentially, you have to quadruple up to get a payout, and more than 10 times up to get a free payout.
I'm awaiting a return email from Richard to confirm that there isn't an exception for SBR point users and contest winners, but there seems to be an arrangment at least between SBR and Phoenix where Phoenix can offer these fantastic contests and low point redemptions without much of a risk of ever having to actually pay out. Even more so, if you meet rollover, shouldn't you be able to cash out? Lets say I meet my 8X rollover and am at $150 and would just like get a check for that. According to Phoenix's rules, I can't.
I just write this as a warning to those seeking to redeem points. You might be better off with books that offer one free payout a month, like Bookmaker, Betjam, or 5Dimes.
