And I filed a SBR complaint form, and Justin7 agrees.
So what to do now? Other than warn other players to stay away, I don't know if I have much recourse.
I made a bet with Ladbrokes (rated A+ by Sportsbook Review) on Oct 20th NFL in the "double result" catagory. I bet $170 at their stated odds of +1400 that
1) Jets would win the first half and
2) Buffalo would win the game.
Jets were a -9.5 favorite.
Ladbrokes put the monies for the winning bet in my account, $2870.
Then a few hours later they took $1360 out of my account "with apologies".
This is crazy, and outright theft.
I bet the game at a fair price for the double result. They have no business changing the odds after the event went off. If they want to cancel a bet before the event, no complaints. But after the event is theft, plan and simple.
This is not even a questionable line. This week they have the Ariz/Carolina game, a game in which Arizona is a -10 favorite, available to bet at the same price as they offered me on the Jets two weeks back. They are listed at +1400 for Dog wins first half/fav wins game.
Do they plan to void all winners on this bet too? Or pay them off at a reduced price just because they can?
What about the losers I have bet at the wrong line then? Do they plan to refund those too?
If anyone has any contacts at Ladbrokes can they help me out here? I can file a complaint with IBAS I guess, but crips, Ladbrokes is a A+ book, not a fly by night operator.
What is going on here? Something is very wrong when A+ books have to steal from players to make a profit.
