#37Moonbeam, I really think that the industry is just like a gigantic real life monopoly game, whenever someone falls and has enough good bettors there comes a big fish and buys the franchise, but, in this game, new players come around evey now and then. That's why I believe it'll be a solid industry as long as there's still some grade of competition between books, but, it's just an opinion.Comment -

#38The object of making money gambling will never die no matter how bad the financial crisis is. The only problem with this industry is the amount of books that are absolute thieves. We all want to sweat the game not the payout. Just look at how many books are rated C or worse. These books and even some of the better books are stiffing clients everyday. These people are lost to online gambling forever. We are all risking large amounts of money at books that we have no idea whether or not they'll be there in the morning. What this industry needs is the US Gov to get involved so our money is safe on US soil not in Antigua.Comment -

#39This industry will go nowhere, i don´t care if small and/or crap books go broke.
The top books prolly make as much money as ever, nothing will change.Comment -

#40As for me, I think the more smart players or professionals playing in a book, the better book will be in future. Pinnaclesports is the great example of that as well as Unibet and Sportingbet.
The only thing is that sometimes these books wondering what type of player do they want to have...
Personally I think that smart player is better for those who make expert staff of sports analysts their number one priority. Because the smarts bet BIG!Comment -

#41There are many, many people in the Main Forum who consistently vote JJ Gold as being one of the top handicappers on this site...Does one really need any more proof to realize that the sportsbooks will be alive and well for many years to come?Comment -

#42Good point. Until then, what this industry needs are consumers who make a minimum of research before depositing money into a bookmaker or casino. It is just amazing that dodgy bookies with E or F rating still get business. If it wasnt for SBR and similar sites, things would probably be even worse.Comment -

#45At least the industry would then be heavily regulated like it is here in Australia. Money is alot safer that way.Comment -
