#177If I were you I would have offered something to the person you insulted, apologizing is not good enough. Just a matter of time before customer service pisses off the wrong person and the house of cards falls down.Comment -

#179Hmm reading this again.
Cubfan wanted his money - and was told he is a moron and stupid etc from the guy who owns a sportsbook - thats not cool and reflects badly on the business owner. Sounds like a character, Tony, funny guy - but from a business point of view - no good businessman would react like that.
Cubfan was still a customer at this place and if a sportsbook decided they only want polite customers - people who are morally sound - then you will be excluding a lot of the market in this industry. Basically shit like this happens a lot and if you exclude everyone like cubfan - you will be cutting your own profits for the matter of principle. And that is the bad call in business.Comment -

#181This my friend is what happens when you try and use an online forum to strong arm your position. You had better be in the right cause if your not. Well you have seen what happens.Comment -

#182There's not too much for me to add, but I will add this:
It worries me sincerely that a supposedly serious bookmaker would publicly disclose clients' private customer service conversations. The contents of these conversations is irrelevant to this act.
It truly makes one wonder what sort of policys that bookmaker has...

#183what you seem to miss is that this is Gambling.. not business... business is Bestbuy where you can go in buy things get merchandise... so forth and so on. Business is where you inform the government how much you win and lose and pay taxes accordingly. This is not business this again is Gambling, and from what I have seen of Tony's behavior previous he could give two shi ts and one damn about losing customers.
You guys have it tough...Comment -

#184Hmm reading this again. Although Cubfan said some horrible things, you would expect the book to still act professional. Customer services should be prepared for hot headed gamblers the same way as dealers/croupiers in casinos are trained into dealing with drunk gamblers/loud moths etc.

If the rest of us are dragging this out a bit, it's because people like Cubfan and their "keyboard warrior" mentality is what makes it hard on the rest of us when dealing with the sportsbooks.

#188And, in just about every instance, that customer is asked to settle down and behave appropriately; if he/she refuses, that customer is asked to leave and not return. No different here.
Cubfan was told to check back in 24-48 hours for instructions on how to access his remaining funds now that his account had been closed. Talk about "keeping his money" was only made once Cubfan said he'd just make another account under a different name.
You're going on the very false assumption that EVERYONE behaves like this. Every customer in a bar is "drunk" at some point, but not every customer starts a fight, tells the bartender he hopes they die, etc...
If the rest of us are dragging this out a bit, it's because people like Cubfan and their "keyboard warrior" mentality is what makes it hard on the rest of us when dealing with the sportsbooks.
So before the masses start screaming that I dont deserve a warning and start screaming bloody murder for what I said lets remember that this issue is closed and it will not change anything for me nor 5dimesComment -

Did you ever consider that if you don't want people making posts in response, you shouldn't start a topic on a public internet forum?

#193I didnt mind the bashing, in the beginning, it was expected. But after the initial apology was made to 5 dimes, I was able to withdraw my money and the account remained terminated, there were still people out there in lynch mob mode and felt the punishment didn't fit the crime and wanted to see more action than what was necessary.Comment -
