Ridiculous tht there hasnt been at least 3 or 4 goals in this game. samp hit crossbar, then Pozzi hits inside of post and rolls across line and hits opposite post! Unbelievable

#10817Whatever I pick for goals there are crazy chances and misses. Same happened yesterday with Fiorentina, who had crazy shots, posts and everything you can think of, then ended 1-0 and should have been 3-4 goals at least.Comment -

#10826Some Serie A degen plays today for shits and giggles:
Milan/Atalanta Over 1 goal 1st half @ -121;
Udinese/Verona Over 1 goal 1st half @ +102;
Parma/Torino Over 1 goal 1st half @ +109...
Dont feel particularly strongly about any of these, but I think all three away sides have potential to score and make the games interesting. Parma/Torino is usually a high scoring game - last 3 games have had 4 goals or more each time, and with Cerci and Immobile in form I'd be surprised if they dont score. Atalanta Manager Colantuano has said he doesnt intend on sitting back and defending against Milan, and Verona have the attacking quality with Toni, Iturbe, Taleb, Jorginho to cause Udinese some problems - although that game could easily end 0-0 or 1-0 to Udinese.Comment -

#10829Tempting to play the home dog in Lincoln tonight against Alfreton. Still think Alfreton are being over-rated by the books because of the good run they had recently. Has been Alfreton's favourite place to play though over last couple seasons...the away side has never lost out 7 head-to-heads between these two (and only 1 of those was a draw). Gonna hold off an maybe bet live tho
Also, appears Lincoln have sprayed the pitch with sand in an attempt to soak up the water!

#10831Small play on Shrewsbury/Leyton Orient Over 1 goal 1st half @ +106 for shits and giggles.
Former Cov youngster Loza is starting for Leyton Orient alongside fellow Jamaican Kevin Lisbie (21 apps, 10 goals). So no Mooney (19 apps, 13 goals) which is a concern but I think Loza's pace could cause Shrewsbury defense some problems and a very different style to Mooney and Lisbie. Odubajo (6 goals) and Cox (7 goals) also offer a goal-scoring threat from midfield. Shrewsbury have got Tom Eaves on loan from Bolton who could be a handful tonightComment -

#10836Atletico Madrid DNB @ -194 away at Valencia...
Can't resist this. Simeone putting out a strong line-up which includes Diego Costa, Koke, Raul Garcia, Gabi, Juanfran, and Miranda. Only slightly weak link is Adrian. Valencia meanwhile are without Diego Alves, Romeu, Feghouli, Banega, Jonas, Canales, Pabon, and Piatti.Comment -

#10846All depends on Simeone's mindset. He'll probably be happy to slow pace down and settle for a 0-0. Valencia really need to win at least 1-0 to have a chance of progressing! No way they get a result in MadridComment -

#10847Only a matter of time before it happened with the way Simeone sets his team out away from home...just playing for 1-0 wins with goal coming in final 20-25 mins of a game. Can understand it sometimes, but when u are playing a side like Valencia who's weakness was clearly in defense with guardado, pereiria (2 attacking fullbacks who are average defensively) then an erratic centre back in costa and equally erratic gk in Guaita you really should be testing tht more imo rather than just sitting back and defending. Helder postiga was the lone striker and by sitting back they allowed him to get in the box which is only place he is remotely dangerous. If theyd of pushed up more he isnt the type of player to break the offside trap and have the speed to exploit alderwerield and miranda.Comment -

#10848Bargain of the year already!
The Germany international has agreed a move to the Gelsenkirchen side after the club activated his release clause
Schalke have announced that Bayer Leverkusen attacker Sidney Sam has signed a four-year deal with the club and will join from Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has long been linked with a transfer to Schalke and the Gelsenkirchen side have now triggered his €2.45 million exit clause to secure the Germany international's services.
"Sidney Sam has proven with his superb performances this season that he can offer a lot in attack. He is very versatile and wants to achieve a lot with Schalke. We are very pleased that he has opted to join us," general director Horst Heldt commented on the transfer.
The pacy forward started his professional career with Hamburg and also wore the Kaiserslautern jersey before joining Leverkusen in the summer of 2010.
Sam has been in sublime form for Leverkusen this term, scoring seven goals and creating five more in 13 appearances.Comment -
