#2Why would I be on Spain and lose? Put $10,000.00 on Germany, triple them and thank me later.Comment -

#390% really. When the whole forum is on one side the other side usually wins. lol. Don't think Germany is that big of a favourite in this game. Either side could win.sbrComment -

#11I agree taking a side is a coin flip. Both teams had a slip up in the 1st round games with Germany losing to the Serbs and Spain to the Swiss. Klose has been a machine up front for the Germans not taking anything away from Mulller or Ozil. Podolski has been underachieving imo. Villa for Spain is their only hope so far for putting the ball in the net because Torres couldn't score if his life depended on it. The mid has been very strong for Spain and the defense has been decent. 90% of the public to be on Germany is strange because this game looks like a coin flip although I do like Germany's chances to go on.Comment -

#14More like 75% of the people on Germany according to SBR Betting Odds. I like Germany, but something just tells me when a team blows another out and they play a team that barely won....the team that barely won plays much better and the team that won big, plays much worse.Comment -

#18It depends on which talk board you're in. I think it's very much even by game time. Right now, imo, most casual betters are on Germany (based on their performance in this WC) but by game time "sharps"/seasoned soccer cappers will jump on Spain.Comment -

#22Easy money if you play Germany over 3.5 corners taken. Line at -182...but Germany can get 3 or more by half time. They average 5 corners/game.Comment -

#28Spain struggled against a Paraguay team whose midfield really closed down their opponents quickly and aggressively. Germany is another team that likes to press the opposition in midfield, close down aggressively and that is the sort of play that Spain's midfielders don't like. Spain's midfield likes to play a calm passing game and can struggle if they are denied time and space by a quality defensive unit. I think Germany has the right type of team to beat Spain and they've also got that added attacking quality that Paraguay was lacking.
Germany is a well balanced team, I just worry a little about the centre of their defence, which could be exposed by someone like David Villa. However, if the German midfield continues to perform well in defensive situations then Villa probably won't get the chances needed in order to expose those German central defenders.
Also, Germany has the ability to match Spain in terms of passing ability. Germany also has the advantage of playing with wingers which means they have more space to play their passing game whereas Spain is mainly restricted to the centre of the pitch. If you close down Spain centrally, they don't really have a Plan B where they can move the ball wide and focus on the wings. Spain's fullbacks do get forward but its not the same as having out and out wingers and fullbacks rampaging behind them.
I think Germany pk +106 is the way to go in this match, I just can't see them losing this one in normal time.Comment -

#32A lot of folks thought england would take it, then even more thought Argentina, and what happend 8-1!! Spain haven't impressed, people can say what they want. Everyone hates to back Germany cause its Germany, but they will most likely win this game and face Netherlands.. Going BIG on Netherlands then taking a third or so on that on GER pk..
This will not go so well if URU tie it or even win it, but not seeing that happen here!Comment -

#33I don't think the general public understands why Germany could run up the score against England and Argentina. Which means they also can't tell whether or not that scenario is on the table against Spain.Comment -
