The third goal was disallowed for strange reasons. But Altidore was flopping all over the place. Does he understand how ridiculous that looks for such a large player? That's how he won the free kick that resulted in the disallowed goal.Comment -
Slovenia fell asleep after 2-0, that Donavan goal should of been shutdown by the defenders adn the goalie should've kept his hands up instead of moving away from the ball... same could be said about the 2nd goal.

In any case, the US was lucky to come back from two down. They were outplayed in the 1H, and it is unusual, at this level, for the type of opportunistic kick-and-rush soccer they played in the 2H to be successful. There was no build-up. It was long hauls forward and hope for the best. (And Altidore flopping to get free kicks around the penalty box). Slovenia had the game but forgot about the US spirit. As our rival I want them to do bad, but meh, I for the most part could care less.
The U.S. is overrated though. The books thought the U.S. was going to dominate. A draw was about right.
Bad calls both ways, Dempsey played for free and that goal the U.S. scored recieved a bad call, although the goal came much after the whistle was blown.Comment -

i blame the ref? yes, as the game should of ended 3-2 not 2-2, besides coming back form 2-0 isnt easy but i do agree that USA didn't play well, i cant see why they start with a 4-4-2, i think there more comfortable in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Now i know its a world cup and all but id much rather of had Egypt and Russia in for Slovenia and Algeria both of which will be happy to go home with a point.
