The news is Chacarita is in a state of chaos, 5 out of the starting 11 players didn't renew their contacts, 6 of the starting 11 were left out of the squad as a result, to make matters worse the manager was sacked and the team haven't had much time to prepare or train for this game. The players were unhappy with the sacking of the manager and now the reserve team will play in this game. Their away record and record in general was awful but this just makes things worse. Godoy Cruz is in good form especially at home and are fighting to get to the top of the league.

Forrest are one of the best home sides in the league and country, they have ensured a playoff spot but want to get the top playoff position so that the 2nd leg of the playoff is played at home. Real Madrid have to win as Barcelona has beaten Xerez, they have a full squad and even though they have struggled against Zaragoza in the past this is a far stronger Real team than the last few years. Porto has to keep the pressure up on Braga and have a fantastic record against their opponent, they beat them on the road for over a decade.

Benfica are in fantastic form and are even better at home, recently they crushed rivals Sporting Lisbon 2-0 and Porto 3-0, Olhanense would have been in trouble with that awful away record but with their main GK Hugo Ventura, defender Tengarrinha and a few other important players out they are in for a tough trip. Benfica are best when attacking and won't hold back today against a wounded Olhanense, if they win this game they will have nearly secured the league championship.

Man City and Tottenham dropped points, Aston Villa go on their April run after their awful March debacle, Bham has had a dip in form lately and struggle on the road, losing 6 out of 7 of their last away games. A factor to consider is its a regional derby so Bham could be up for this but I still think Villa will show their quality and win.

Everton with most their injured players back are one of the most dangerous sides in the league especially at home, they have an outside chance of clinching that last European position and are going for it today. Fulham have been great this season however, after a 17 hour journey there and 17 hour back they are exhausted and as they have nothing to play for and an important Europa game next week they will rest most the team. "Danny Murphy has urged the Premier League to adopt an "understanding" stance on their team selection."

Santos are one of the best Brazil teams I have seen in a while, I have talked about Flamengo having a world class strike force but this teams attacking talents even relegate Mengo to second place. Robinho and Neymar have been tearing these soft defenses to shreds and are getting the service and delivery from some creative midfielders. They have never lost to Santo Andre and the favorable odds are due to the game being a final. Santos made Brazil giants Sao Paulo look like an amateur team in the last round, Santos has what it takes to win this game.
