Asian Cup 2015. Let's do this.

A-League on hiatus, but those of us in North America in need of early morning plays need not despair, the 2015 Asian Cup is on tap starting tomorrow with Australia - Kuwait, followed by three matches on Saturday and 2 matches a day for the next 10, then we get the Quarters, Semis and Final.

Hope to keep this thread going and to find some nice plays throughout the tournament and welcome input from anyone in any time zone. Unfortunately for me the timing will mean my opportunity for live plays will be limited.

Match 1: Group A
Hosts Australia take on Kuwait. Have done very little research so far, but just looking at results from 2011 the -1.5 handicap at +107 seems enticing. Line available on 5Dimes through Pre-match betting plus.
Anyone have thoughts on this match or general thoughts/strategies for the tournament?

Yeah I think the Aussies will win the first match as well. Don't know if they'll cover or not, but I bet the -1.5 along with the moneyline. I think South Korea -1 might be a good pick as well for Saturday.

for me Kuwait history goes out a window. They sacked Jorvan Vieira months ago, and i expect different play style, what won`t work. Vieria had a know how to get best of Kuwait, he was a man to get so many points in last asian cup. Kuwait is asked more to get out of this tournament in their own country , when they actually can get. taking fail in recent gulf cup of nations, having now Nabil Maaloul as a couch , who comes in just weeks before cup, i expect very frustrated performance from them. two players worth to mention is their captain Nawaf Al-Khaldi, most experienced, probably more than coach and to autralia already known Youssef Nasser up front...
Ange Postecoglou is a man here. he have build quick this relatively youthful side, led them to WC. he is a winner himself, won twice with Brisbane Roar and squeezed the best out of Queensland. as with a host nation now with his team gelled and knowing exactly `what and how` for opening game, 2 - 0 , 3 - 0...
as a opening game, for someone who wants to win tournament, given hard group and best opening game..

will be sleeping for first game, so post info ... my thoughts and bets...

after australia set up terms in a group , this one seems like a fight for last ticket already.
Oman - draw specialist , getting to this tournament by conceding one goal, but with plenty 0 - 0 `s ... yep, no much attacking threat, but very tough to break , with hard working midfield and GK Al-Habsi from Wigan as the Wall.but that was then... in gulf cup, not much worth to look into, as it seemed fixed to me i mean, they beat Kuwait 5 - 0 and then goes and concedes 3 goals in next game for first time in 28 games.. Paul Le Guen it self was involved in match fixing with cameroons poor run of results. but he still is experienced coach, was labeled next "arsene wenger" and won french league 3 times with lyon.
South Korea, had mixed results for some time now, but that was under ex coach.. now they have Real madrid`s legend Uli Stielike. i think he was better player than a coach now but one thing for this game is + ... he has been couching in Qatar for last 6 years and should know middle east football well. SK has plenty of tallent like, German-based players Son Heung-min, Gu Ja-cheol, Kim Jin-su and Park Joo-ho. as well as Park Cho Young plays now in middle east for Al Shabab.
so plenty of talent, hard working team, know how to switch during game from attacking - possession football to defensive-counterattacking , has speed, skills, talent, but one day produces flop side , another day brilliance ...

price have really fallen for SK ... if anything value is now on Oman +1 AH @ 1.97...
but i`ll still play other side ...-1 AH SK. thing is believe this SK team will find a break and won`t be unlucky to go down like Aussies , once SK will get a goal, they should have enough to hold of Oman - who doesn`t like to step out of sitting in defense. since australia put up such a high scoring goal difference already, SK has to win here, expecting the same looking football like first game. i`ll be hoping SK will start this cup like worthy looking contenders and will get this done here..
oman besides al-habsi , mubarrak has no much talent, they have 8 local Al-Oruba Sports Club players as half team against talented SK..
draw is possible here, but 2 - 0 for me...

in asian rankings NK is 25 th and uzbeks are 3rd... even 5 place difference there is big
NK are hjere because they won challange cup... beating countries you never heard of...

on otherside... nobody knows how strong have becoume NK in last 2 years, because only film crew from "interviewer" has visited NK
uzbekistan tend to struggle in final 3rd time at time...
