#285I have this feeling Argentina are going to make a serious run this year. The games are practically a home game and everyone is healthy. You should google the miles from the head training facility to the stadiums they are playing in, people keep saying home advantage for Brazil, Argentina have just as much home advantage.Comment -

#286I dont know why i cant figure this out.. Russia ML is -115 and their goal line is -0.5 -110... What is the difference between these two lines? If you bet ML and they draw, you lose, correct? So arent those essentially the same thing?Comment -

They have an impressive record vs. Brazil - 6 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses since 2000. By this record, Mexico is the team that have beaten Brazil at most occasions since 2000. They are aware of this and will be arriving at- and play tonights game with great confidence. The role as dogs suits the Mexican players just fine whereas I suspect the role as Cup-contenders is laying heavily on the Brazilian shoulders.. We already saw that in Game 1 vs. Croatia.
Some stats for the mystics out there:
* 16th of June 1954: Brazil 5 - Mexico 0.
* 19th of July 2004: Brazil 4 - Mexico 0.
* 17th of June 2014: Brazil ? - Mexico ?.
Obviously, I don't know which team will win or even if there will be a winner. I feel quite certain though, that there will be goals. Mexico had two goals dismissed in their first game and they created enough chances to score even more than three. Brazil scored two regular goals and one penalty-goal vs. Croatia. They conceded one goal (an own goal).
06-17-14; Brazil vs. Mexico: OVER 2.5 goals.

Holland plays very attractive and entertaining Football. And i HOPE to hell that Robben and RVP stay fit (Sneijder too) Cuz they might be able to rustle a few of the favorites then.Comment -

There are a couple of reasons why the lines are different.
1: Books can get away with adding more juice to a 3 way market. The 3 way market might be framed at 105% or so, and the 2 way AH market around 102-103%. The big books do seem to be keeping both markets around the 102-103% range for the World Cup though. If you have a book that offers alternative AH markets, then you'll probably find that these are juiced higher, and have lower limits.
2: The 2 markets are treated by the books as independent of each other. So they might take a large bet in the 2 way market (-0.5) and bring the price into -115 to balance the ledger, but the 3 way market can still handle some action on the favourite, so the price is left at -110. Usually, but not always, it's the AH line (2 way market) that moves first as traditionally this market attracts the biggest bets.Comment -

#308I know I'm repeating myself here, as I posted similar comments in another thread, but there's a bit of interest in these 2 markets.

#309Worst possible start for us. Best we can hope for now is that Belgium doesnt score twice or that they blow Algeria out of the water so that we can split these two bets.
