Good win! Parlays won and -1 Pushed! USA were okay, they could have been better, but i never saw any real threat coming from CR, they were okay too but nothing especial! Congrat's all USA backers! And those who went for value draw plays even-though the end result was 1-0 and if it wasn't for that lovely counter-attack we may have very well seen a draw, but this IMO was the wrong game to bet draw! there are better games to do that with.Comment -

Before the Gold Cup starts, each coach hands in a list of 11 players that can be used as "subs" up to a certain point for other people on the roster in the tournament. You can sub up to 4 of these people on your list to players on your roster until a certain point (which was yesterday).
This would only help Mexico, honestly. I didn't see if they did bring anyone in but considering this is their B team if Chepo's list is all A teamers he could bring in 4 really quality guys to do some damage.Comment -

Have to think this only helps the US. Mexico doesn't do much and we bring in some quality guys. Shame to see McInerny not get a shot or Herc get some more time but that's the way it goes sometimes. Omar Gonzales, Matt Besler, Eddie Johnson, all guys that have been playing pretty well as of late and will only improve this US squad in my opinion. Since none of the guys subbed out were starting it won't affect any chemistry aspects of the team.Comment -
In on of the very first Mexico games in Gold cup. One of the commentators said that they could not bring any of the confederation cup players into gold cup. I think he said it was some rule or regulation, but idk how true this is and if it affects this 4 sub rule.Comment -

My advice is not put too much on a heavily juiced match that does not involve Tahiti, unless you can afford to lose. Even Belize almost pulled out a draw with Costa Rica. Just today, I watched a scoreless second half of a soccer match in which the goal posts were hit twice, a blatantly obvious PK was not awarded and 3-4 other golden opportunities were not converted. I am glad I lost only a unit on that match. There is just too much variance and sometimes the ball just does not want to go into the net. Mexico has not been playing that great and El Salvador might very well pull out a 1-1 draw with USA. I already parlayed Mexico and Panama ML, but only for a unit for now.Comment -
Frugal is absolutely right! Do not put heavy units on these matches! We have all seen by now how much variance a tournament like Gold Cup has with mixed squads and mixed situations. And especially when there's a lot of ridiculous unfair juice on such close matches.
If you want at your own risk, i'm almost done with my research for Saturday's club games. There is quiet a few decent options. I'm going to make a couple of heavy unit plays myself on saturday so if you want i will give you my recommendation-list and you can take a look at it!Comment
