Honestly, i think we are a society that does very little to change who we are..at these gas prices you would think driving would be minimum.
Have you reduced driving with 4.00 gallon

#5So i'm in New York and if i drove to Foxwwods casino it would be about 350 miles round trip...with an older car 20 miles per gallon..the gas cost would be 70 bucks...wow...what a fkin joke...it used to be 99 cents a gallon..heck gas prices in half are much better....I never thought something like this would screw people..it brings gas prices way way out of control and effects many of us...Comment -

#10Work is 9 miles (all backroads w/ 2 stop signs) to work.
I don't go out during the week.
and don't drive too far during the weekends.
Tank lasts me a little over 2 weeks normally. So I haven't reduced much, because I don't mind spending 100 bucks every month to fill up.Comment -

#13roads are still jammed with cars. price just went down from $4.25 to $4.05 at my local station but that really only saves you $3 a fill up. need it to go back to somewhere in the low $3 range...Comment -

#21I've driven much less the past month. Law of supply and demand. If enough people cut back the prices will drop. I'm doing my share. They do this every rear around Memorial Day. Its all about profit, don't kid yourself.Comment -

we already have the technology to lessen our dependence. if everyone traded in their gas guzzler for a toyota prius hybrid, we would save over 5 billion barrels of oil a year. that's like 241 days of oil use.
another way is to raise the fuel efficency standards of new cars. european cars get 10mpg higher than ours, so why can't we?Comment -
