    You dont need to weigh yourself every day. I weigh once a week. Make sure it's first thing in the morning after you piss, with just boxers on so you get a good reading. Nobody has mentioned HIIT. High intensity interval training. This is the best way to blast fat. Research it. When I cut I do a full body circuit and HIIT. Also throw in some other cardio, and hit up a sauna.

    Sample:

    HIIT 3x a week. 5 min warmup then the circuits. 5 min cooldown. You can use any type of cardio. any piece of equipment or just run/jump rope/anything.

    Full Body circuit training. do this 3 times a week with at least one day of rest in between. 3 different lifts for each body part x 10. Go thru the circuit 3x.

    stretch
    5 min warmup
    20-45 min cardio.
    Chest1 10 reps. Chest2 10 reps. Chest3 10 reps.
    Biceps1 10 reps. Biceps2 10 reps. Biceps3 10 reps.
    Triceps1 10 reps. Triceps2 10 reps. Triceps3 10 reps.
    Back1 10 reps. Back2 10 reps. Back3 10 reps
    Shoulders1 10 reps. Shoulders2 10 reps. Shoulders3 10 reps.
    Legs1 10 reps. Legs2 10 reps. Legs3 10 reps.
    Break for a couple min. repeat
    Break for a couple min.repeat
    20-45min cardio.
    5 min Cooldown
    Stretch

    Mix in random cardio sessions. Hit up a sauna a few times.

    Make sure your diet is good. It you wanted to do an easy no brainer diet, the Velocity diet cuts weight off you rapidly. It's basically 5 protein shakes a day for a month. The first 10 days is when you really lose, so i'd recommend this for the last 10 days. Make sure you read over it and do the diet to a T, theres other stuff that goes in to it.

    Thoughts...The day before the weigh in, to dehydrate...around 5:00 quit eating and drinking. Some mma fighters do this for days, so dont do that. Your body cant handle it. Just start spitting (lol) to get the water out of you. No food, no water. You'll lose about 5-6 lbs i'd say by time of the weighin. Make sure you do like the mma guys at the weigh ins and have a sports drink/and or water based protein shake ready to chug immediately after. If this is for a substantial amount of money, you could do what someones posted and do a laxative/colonics. Ive seen the guys on tuf cutting, they'll get a sauna suit on layered. You have to do layers. one layer clothes, one layer sauna suit, clothes, 2nd sauna suit. something about sweating and not letting the sweat stick to your body and seep back in. Then they'll drag an exercise bike into a sauna and have a partner not let them out til the water weight is off.

      Weigh in today is 238. Satisfaction or most of the usual rushes from eating are gone. The sugar highs gone....choc..ice cream...a good fresh piece of bread...gone.

      My intake of diet soda is too high but I have not broken in the least in regards to carbs. Big omelete and some bacon for breakfast. Its good to have a decent breakfast without any crash afterwards.

      Time of preparation and the frustration of a lack of variety in "craving" busters is stifling. A hunk of cheese gets old after a while. I am thinking now it is more of a psychological barrier. I am trying to overcome one of my weaknesses in personality in the need to eat for satisfaction.

      One the bet front, I have 7 lbs to go in 15 days. I can proceed steadily and if necessary do fluid loss if I need to eek accross the finish line.

          Well I blipped back up to 239 in this mornings weigh in. Nothing to panic about but slight changes are to be introduced.

          Calorie restriction under 1200 today
          Coffee and no diet soda
          lots of water

              My proposition to you. Stop drinking coffee and start drinking green tea. I know man its gross but this put your blood pressure up same as coffee but its much healthier because is speeding up you metabolism,and this is main thing that you need if you want to lose some weight.

              P.s try drinking green tea without sugar.

                Hey Mighty Maron, go to the nearest Walmart and buy the Nestle Diet Green Tea. It comes in a 1 Liter bottle. You can use that to replace Diet Sodas as Green Tea is good for your metabolism.

                  Atkins diet is sugar free diet.....I like most varieties of tea cold brewed with a lil splenda in it.

                                  you will bro dont worry, i started monday dropped 10lbs so far but im 500 cal a day. the trick is to keep your body guessing why not try eating nothing but soups for a few days ( homemade not store bought )it keeps you full for longer and it low cal

                                          I switched to a total "primal diet" myself (lot's of meat/veggies, no bread starches, or sugars)

                                          Beef jerky or nuts are my junk foods now (occasionally pork rinds). After a few weeks you don't miss the sugar and the cravings go away. I've gone from 217 to 202 so far. My energy level is way up

Do 15 repetitions with light weights instead of heavier weights to burn more calories than build muscle. Drink 10 bottles of water every day. No coffee or soda. Eat salads with grilled chicken breast or steak and light vinaigrette dressing. No desert. Eat fruit instead. Have sex every night twice with your gf/wife.

                                                        Muscle, fat and water weight? Easily. Seen people lose 40lbs in a few days. Trying to lose 15lbs of just fat? No.

                                                        Like you said, slow and steady. Scales are very deceiving. You could easily be losing all of your lean body mass and think you're doing good b/c the scale shows a smaller number.

You use calories recovering from the breakdown of muscle, whereas cardio mainly burns calories during the exercise. And muscle is way heavier than fat, so you will gain weight in the process.

                                                          That being said, don't follow a glam diet. No Atkins, South Beach, etc. Follow the Food Guide Pyramid, Eat 5 meals a day, and moderate your meal size. Train for a 10k. Try to improve your speed and endurance for the 10k and you should get in good shape and shed some lbs. in the process.

                                                            Yes...you are exactly correct. I was loose with the language but the point is the same: calories out MUST be greater than calories in to lose weight. One can eat four pounds of bacon fat in a day and still lose weight.

                                                                  good info with the training method but as for the velocity diet, no thanks.... I never even heard of that diet before, no way could I only eat 1 meal per week. I find it hard enough to stick to 3 meals daily with 3 protein shakes daily, I don't think I could throw out the 3 meals and substitute them with 3 shakes, no way. I understand that this diet would just shed away the pounds, but you are basically not eating daily and starving yourself.

                                                                    You get about 1200-1500 calories a day. It works best at first, so you could just do it the last few days until your weighin.
