Elon Musk is not just the Trump-supporting owner of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. It turns out he is also one of the platform’s biggest peddlers of election-related disinformation, according to a new report published Thursday by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate.
The report from CCDH, a nonprofit organization focused on protecting civil liberties and holding social media companies accountable, found that 50 false or misleading posts shared by Musk on X between Jan. 1 and July 31 of this year racked up a staggering 1.2 billion views. The group categorized the posts under three main themes: false claims that Democrats are “importing voters” through illegal immigration (the bulk of the content that researchers examined); false claims that voting is vulnerable to fraud; and a manipulated video, also known as a deepfake, of Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to the report, while independent fact-checkers found the content in all of those 50 posts shared by Musk to be false or misleading, none of the posts in question contained a “community note,” X’s user-generated fact-checking system that the company promises can contextualize “potentially misleading posts.” Just this week, Musk claimed in a post on X that community notes offer “a clear and immediate way to refute anything false in the replies,” adding, “the same is not true for legacy media who lie relentlessly, but there is no way to counter their propaganda.”
Imran Ahmed, CEO of the CCDH, said in a statement accompanying the report that Musk “is abusing his privileged position as owner of a small, but politically influential, social media platform to sow disinformation that generates discord and distrust.”

Lost amidst Trump’s rambling incoherence about Afghanistan today is the fact that he negotiated the withdrawal of U.S. forces with the Taliban, not Biden.
Here are the facts about how Biden was handed a giant mess from Trump in Afghanistan:
Trump made a deal with the Taliban to completely withdraw U.S. forces by May 1, 2021.
When Biden took office, he negotiated a short extension for full withdrawal to August 2021, but he could not alter the fundamental terms of the agreement.
Trump had boxed Biden in. If Biden reneged on that agreement, Taliban attacks on American servicemembers would have restarted, forcing us to send thousands more troops back into the conflict. Very few Americans would have supported this endless commitment.
The reality is that U.S. military intervention was never going to be successful in setting up an American-style democracy and an American-style military in Afghanistan. 20 years and more than $2 trillion dollars trying to achieve it was enough.
Then as our troop departure - negotiated by Trump - drew closer, the Afghan government and military collapsed without warning.
It is not plausible to hold Biden responsible for that. That was a decision made by panicked Afghan leaders.
That collapse would have happened whether Trump or Biden were President. Frankly, Biden performed admirably under the circumstances, organizing the largest post war non-combatant evacuation in the nation’s history.
Trump set in motion the withdrawal in a way that Biden could not reverse.

I am obviously not as smart as you are but I try.
First off, the Covid vaccine didn't prevent anyone from getting Covid or infecting other people. This isn't even debatable anymore. So being unvaccinated with this experimental drug wasn't endangering a single soul. Probably a 5-year old knows this. Adults definitely should. But then again, there were perfectly healthy adults who drove alone in their car with a mask on. I suspect they still believe all sorts of stuff.
I am not against vaccines. Never have been. I have taken vaccines like just about everyone of us has. I have that mark on my upper left arm. Vaccines have saved millions of lives. I was excited like everyone else when they announced there's a vaccine. But how was this possible. After all, all my life I was told vaccines takes years to develop. But whatever. This is a new world. New technology.
So you do a little homework and you discover the Covid vaccine isn't even technically a vaccine. Hmmm. Look it up. Ok so whatever. It's gonna prevent you from getting Covid and from passing on they said. That's all that matters right? Why would they lie? Silly to even think that could be possible. Then they admitted that the mRNA shot doesn't prevent anyone from getting Covid or passing it on to someone else, but it might prevent you from dying if you get Covid. HMMM ok but they just told us something completely different. Weird. The president of the US went of live TV and said if you are vaccinated, you will not get Covid. Would he purposely lie? He fired thousands of nurses and military people who refused to take the jab. Then I thought, isn't he the same guy who said the Laptop was Russian disinformation not too long ago during the debate?
You have an over 99% chance of recovery if you get Covid with out the jab. A little less if you are elderly. Almost all Covid deaths were people who had 4 or more co-comorbidities. The co-inventor of the mNRA 'vaccine', Robert Malone, said it doesn't work.
The drug companies tried to hide the data for 75 years. The government gave the drug companies immunity from prosecution should the 'vaccine' hurt anyone. And it has! Doctors who successfully treated patients with Ivermectic or hydroxychloroquine were banned from social media and their medical licenses were threatened to be cancelled if they didn't stop it. There were silenced. If the vaccine worked so well during the pandemic, then why would any vaccinated person care in an unvaccinated person even existed? Also, the people in power who shut down businesses always broke their own rules. I wonder why? Knowing all that, why the hell would anyone take this experimental drug? Hasn't it been assumed for centuries that the public is better off not knowing the truth in some instances because they are collectively so stupid according to govt. officials? Or that it might cause mass hysteria? That was the way government has looked at the public forever I assumed. And while appalling to think of, they probably have at least somewhat of a point being as we all had to scramble for toilet paper when covid hit. How totally stupid was that? Plenty of totally selfish jerks within the public but that will never change.
Cover ups or misinformation about UFO's, moon landing, JFK assassination, things that occurred in war, etc. etc. There were a ton of these things that have gone on. The masses are asses theory .
Seems the public with all the tools people have to communicate in today's world are getting harder and harder to fool.

That's an interesting thought regarding the public better off not knowing. I have heard it before. I think its better to take those on individually rather than a whole. I remember the ass-wipe fights in the stores. Heck, I just finished the last roll from the crate of 3-ply I order back in 2020.
Do you think its possible they did any of this on purpose? I mean, doing gain-of-function research is insane to begin with. How can any human agree to doing this in a lab knowing what could happen if it gets out? Even it was accidentally leaked from the lab in Wuhan, there are tons questions that haven't been answered still. Also, what does it say about the MSM and the tech companies who wouldn't allow anyone to even ask the question as to whether it came from a lab or not? If you did, you were banned from social media and called a conspiracy theorist.
There are a lot of evil people in the world. There always have been and always will be. What's worse is the amount of people in positions of power who are evil. Somehow those same people have convinced millions of others they aren't. They are righteous. We should never question their motives. They are do-gooders and they know what's best.Comment
