Does Your State have Online Driver LIsc. Renewals Only?
I'm in Virginia. Drove to the local DMV today and the lot was almost full. Went to door and was told I must make an appt. to renew my driver's lisc. (mine --- calls for an eye test). It's making the appointment that's a hassle. I got a phone number and hung up after a 20 minute hold.

        Online:
I'm getting to be an old guy, that's not tech savvy in any way. Actually unless the instructions are extremely clear in what to do next, I feel lost. Anyhow will probably figure it out. My point is this. The government (through this state's driver's license requirements are FORCING ME to do it online. Doesn't seem fair!
Believe it or not some Americans do not have online, nor a smartphone.

Can't be done simply on the phone!!!!! ???????

One plea: Just tell me if in YOUR state, the only way to make an appointment (to RENEW) your driver's permit is online? It's that important enough for me to ask.... (please NO political statements either way). Thanks!

See if this helps. It says you can make appointments on line to go to an office.

I made an appointment and was the first one there.. the line was huge even for those who were there first. I was the first person in and it was still slow took an hour.

Why would you go to the DMV without an appointment???
In California, we make appointments online and wouldn't think about driving Down there without one
