New cases are rising in at least 20 states, even as restrictions on daily life continue to ease. The U.S. total represents more than 25% of the confirmed cases worldwide.

Here we go....start of the 2nd inning in this one.
I can't see how the protest couldn't have some detrimental effect on a viral increase. We'll see real soon.
I think this spike is the openings and Memorial day.

gawd I hope not, but it may come to that.
The model is out there. S. Korea/New Zealand/ Australia.....masks, contact tracing and cell phone tracking.
But that is too distasteful for the land of the free and the home of the weak.

Scary part is we’re in summer heat now and it’s going back up. This is bad news come fall when it was expected to already go way to. Florida reached its highest level of cases in one day since this began.

I don't see it as a second wave
places up North and the East coast had their spikes and are coming down, the virus slowly spread in density like a slow moving storm, down south.
Their spikes are happening now as their first big wave. with a little boost due to most of those places opening recently.
unless their hospitals are over run, it shouldn't be a big issue

I don’t think that means much in Florida. Back in April they were testing 10,000 a day now Florida is testing 30,000 a day so you got to figure the number is going to be higher jmo
later

Exactly. Looking at the deaths is the best way to figure out what is happening with the virus.

Is there any news/media outlet left that he hasn't accused of being "fake" or reporting false info about/on every possible issue??
He must be the only person out there telling the truth..

Thing is both sides of the issue can spin the statistics in their favor to support their agenda.
My take?
Proceed with caution.

Hmmm
These are probably related to Memorial Day Weekend and reopenings.
Will probably see the protest related bumps in a week or 2.

Is the word 'protest' code for 'riot'?
Does it apply here?

Oh you fools, how dare you...
Mark Levine, chairman of the council's health committee, on Wednesday instructed those worried that mass gatherings would lead to an uptick in COVID-19 cases to "blame racism" instead of a lack of social distancing.
"Let's be clear about something: if there is a spike in coronavirus cases in the next two weeks, don't blame the protesters," Levine tweeted. "Blame racism.

Don't believe the hype. More testing means, more new cases. They did this same shit with HIV/AIDS.
At least WHO admits that asymptomatic carriers don't spread diseases... Don't get sucked into the media brainwashing.
This is just another flu... Flu kills up to 650,000 people each year. Covid-19 still has some catching up to do.

If there was no lockdown we’d have a million. Covid has killed more than the flu already in 3 months. Your post is scary inaccurate

New cases been for the most part next to nothing around here and surrounding counties, lot of folks went down to lake of ozarks over memorial weekend (if you recall it was all over the pictures of everyone partying at the lake! Lol). Didn’t seem to cause the drastic spike ppl were talking bout. As been mentioned I think the places seeing huge increases has as much to do with amount of testing as it does ppl getting lax with the caution.
