She lied
Victims of an assault disassociate and run from assailants in future confrontations. Speaking from first hand experience of what my sister had gone thru.
Her own testimony acknowledges other social occasions with Brett and worse, being friendly and outgoing with Mark just days after the incident was supposed to have occured.
A real victim would have seen Mark and turned on a dime out the door, not be chatty. Same if she saw Brett at another party....she wouldn't have hung around.
Anyone who has or knows a victim of a true assault knows the natural reaction victims have. Ford's testimony contradicts human behavior, and was completely scripted by lawyers.Comment -

Watched some highlights and it still could go either way as to who is telling the truth. Unless either party involved just admits to lying about the events in question, we get no definitive answer. 35+years is a long time to remember how events exactly occurred.
Cavanaugh has little yellowish reptile teeth which is unsettling.
If if he has enough votes to get pushed forward, they should do it. Otherwise, ask Trump for another candidate. We sat through 2 years of Republicans stalling any Obama appointee to the court. We do not need 2 more years of stagnation. Too many on left are overreacting that things like Roe v Wade and protected classes will get overturned. That won’t happen. Ford really lied when she said she was afraid to fly and doesn't fly. It was established today she was flying regularly with no problems what so ever.. I can't believe no one pressed her on that lie.. I saw that earlier and was scratching my head?

That was her lawyers who said she didn’t wanna fly. Just to stall for time. Kavanaugh Monitoring Hearing From Elsewhere
Among those watching Dr. Ford’s testimony was Judge Kavanaugh, a committee aide said, from a monitor in another room in the Dirksen Senate Building, where he awaits the opportunity to tell his side of the story later today.
UPDATE: Judge Kavanaugh said during his hearing that he did not watch Dr. Ford's testimony. He said he had intended to but was preparing for his own testimony.

i have a semi-factual question and a rhetorical question,
1) how long is the alleged incident supposed to have lasted? 5 seconds? 3 minutes?...
2) if this incident happened last week, what would happen to 17 year-old accused? what charge?
3) sorry, i'll throw in a 3rd question... doesn't stuff like this happen every weekend at large public universities frat houses etc.? without criminal charges being laid?......Comment -
And if nobody noticed, I think Mitchell pinpointed the day -- that July 1 day. His calendar included two of the people say Ford were at the party. And he talked about drinking heavy that day. And then the R's cut Mitchell off.

Excellent question. I wanted this asked and unless I missed it, it never was. Ford needed to be asked this. Exactly why this all needed a professional investigation. This was a sham. Right, all they had to say is they need more time and why!!! No reason to lie.. Lawyers represent the clients.. Led the American people to believe that Ford had a real fear of flying.. Mean while Kav was getting his name smeared for 10 days til he was heard today..
She was smiling talking about her travels by flight. Oh, and this wasn't political.. Right.. Delay delay delay.. Lie when necessary, make up 3 sex assault claims against a man with a 40 year impeccable track record and JUDGE of law just to delay the process. Lie about flying fears to delay the process...
