i don't think the nielsen ratings reflected a large viewing audience for this allegedly repetitious exercise. why would the europeans watch. even back then they hated us. and how would you know that. i recall "most" people not "everyone" found it extremely dull and boring and didn't watch. more people watched michael jackson's "moonwalks" than the actual allegedly real ones. as far as that alien reference goes speaks volumes about your credibility. you're having fun with this and probably enjoy the easter bunny/tooth fairy fantasy as being real. probably believed in santa claus until you were 14.
The Moon. Do you really think they went there and back

I was planning to read the whole thread and have an intelligent discussion
Then I realized wtf does that give me in return or to anyone else?
Nothing. Anything I think up, cannot be proven
So I am just going to think of jokes because laughing will help more people than this bs

#148Did you know that the only way heliocentrism works, and according to the official
presentation, the reason why we have full eclipses is:
The Sun is EXACTLY 400 times larger than the Moon.
The Moon is EXACTLY 400 times closer to Earth than the Sun.
Along with this statistical near-impossibility, the Moon must be
perfectly placed within a 49,000 kilometer zone (perigee/apogee)
and its mass just enough to influence tides and not sail to the sun
but not enough to crash into the Earth.
you can't make this stuff up.Comment -

#151The whole gravity thing Im not sold on either. With the tides, I think its more radiation activity with salt ions perhaps. Why dont these tides happen in rivers, lakes, and other non-saltwater bodies.Comment -

An Italian astronaut on the ISS almost drowned
when he was outside the ISS !
Why did the Russian space agency find sea plankton growing on the ISS ?
Is it the "waters above" as described in the Holy Bible ?
The presence of waters above would surely explain how these massive bodies
move around so perfectly, it's water currents. Outer space is clear water.

#153Yes Ive leaned that way too Snow, I think Piccard noticed that also in his experiments with going up there. It'd make all the sense in the world why they want us not to believe in the God of the scriptures, they wouldnt be able to pull off a quarter of the things they do if people knew the truth. So they want us to believe we were basically a mistake, a chance occurrence. Everything they tell us is contrary to scripture, the same people who said the galaxy is forever expanding and we're all zooming perfectly through orbit all together with other planets are the same ones who told us we came from apes and miraclulously starting finding dinosaur bones almost a couple centuries ago. If we knew how special we are and that God created everything for us we'd have a different outlook on things, we'd run off the perpetrators of evil disseminations and live peacefully. But it aint to be.Comment -

without absorbing the materials posted. For example:
The universe should be regarded as a liquid 'superfluid', claim scientists seeking to discover the fundamental nature of space.
Quantum mechanics is currently able to explain three of the four fundamental forces in the universe - electromagnetism, strong interaction and weak interaction - but does not explain gravity.
According to the latest theory, spacetime could be treated as a fluid. This model could allow scientists to work out how some forces move through space.
Waves, for example, use water as a medium through which to move.
On the conventional model, space is considered to be a vacuum. How then, scientists ask, do electromagnetic waves, photons, and other entities move through space if there is, by definition, nothing?
According to researchers Stefano Liberati, a professor at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) and Luca Maccione, a research scientist at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, the medium they move through, or the universe, could be considered a 'superfluid'.

#158Err, you are the one who should be presumptively embarassed because you form judgements
without absorbing the materials posted. For example:

This post is not the same as previous posts. Of course space is not an empty vacuum, particles come in and out of existence constantly...we know this already.
Snowball, you were willing to say space is water, specifically, water. Then you make the post above. The facts you post above do not lead to the conclusion that space is made of water.
One of the problems with this thread is that when facts are finally accurate, the conclusions are stupid and already disproven.
Our models of physics have problems on both scales and the experimental evidence shows wild results. I posted a video already.
But some of the conclusions reached, especially in this thread, have already been disproven and any individual can conduct experiments ON THEIR OWN to show this.
You posters act like there is a body of knowledge that you can not reach, that some entity is keeping it from you.
This is why you need science, there is a high amount of gullibility in this thread and an utter disrespect to those of us who have been on the forefront of knowledge creation, those of us who gather the experimental results for real and not some weasel with a degree trying to be a hot shot on YouTube.
I understand many hypotheses can be used to explain odd results, but so many in this thread can be disproven.
This thread provides a great number of viewpoints, but it lacks first hand knowledge and education, therefore it shows to be outright wrong, without debate, on so many levels.
I guess it's just a trolling thread after all.
There are some close minded and immature posters in this thread, so immature in fact, that the constant fallback accusation to debate will be that it is others that are close minded.
We could probably be further along in our understanding of the universe if the science was actually understood by some of these creative and charismatic individuals, instead, they enter the debate with ignorance and hold everyone else back in knowledge and understanding.Comment -

#159Read the article closer, KVB. It could be water.
Anyway, the reason why we suspect mainstream science is lying to us
is because they act like liars, they make theories up and present them as
facts when they aren't, and hammer it home with their institutional power.
I listen to the mainstream stuff. Last night I was listening to a top planetary
scientist from George Mason, he wrote a highly "acclaimed" book about exoplanets.
Once you realize how they reach their conclusions, how little it is actually based upon,
then you start to see how they push their own agendas. We don't know what exoplanets
are and much less about what they are made of, but of course, they want to say they
are worlds full of alien life.

#175Not to poop on the party here but, with a pair of binoculars and knowing the flight path of the ISS, you can see it.
Star gazer apps on your phone can tell you were it is.
