I prayed to my dog for rain three weeks ago. It rained today. I think my dog is God.
Dog spelled backwards is God too....coincidence? I think not.
I'm going to make my own religion and add it to the more than 4000 religions that are already out there.
My dog has healing powers too. You just have to have faith. If you question my dog's greatness or doubt it, you will burn in infinite hell.
As part of my religion I will need you to do whatever is the will of my dog and worship my dog numerous times a week. An offering will also be required for my dog. Give at least 10% of your earnings to my dog and he will repay you 10 fold.
I'm about to write a book detailing my dog's word. You are required to live by the book and not question it. If you do or worship anything else you're going to hell. My dog's plan is perfect and he should be worshipped for it.Comment -

If something horrible happens to you or you get deathly ill, pray to my dog that everything gets better and understand that it's part of my dog's plan. If things work out, praise my dog. If things don't work out, still praise my dog and thank him for his wonderful plan that includes pain, suffering, torment and of course....praising him for it all.

Anyway, all joking and bs aside, how do you religious people think people get to Heaven. You guys say we have this "soul" even though you can't see it at the doctor's office.
When you die, this soul leaves the body? Does it just float to heaven? Do you just warp to another demention? What the hell happens?
I never see souls just floating upward. Likeiwse, if they float to heaven, that's gotta be a several billion light years away. Seems like a long ass jouney.
Whenever I'm flying in a plane, I always keep a look out but never see anyone's soul on it's way to heaven. So what happens? You die...you're soul has to leave the body I'm assuming. Does it teleport?Comment -
This is what I mean. Going to Heaven is pretty much the entire objective of religion but no one can explain how it happens. I asked several questions and you didn't provide any answers. Saying you die and goto Heaven doesn't explain how you actually get to Heaven after you die. Religion leaves out all of these details because it's non-sense that isn't true and can't be explained.
If you actually stop and think about what going to a place like Heaven would entail, you would realize that it's some kind of supernatural voodoo magic. It's the type of thinking that we would put someone in a crazy home for or we would think they were on drugs.
No kidding I would believe if I saw souls floating up to Heaven. I would also believe if I witnessed someone to live to be 900, live in a whale for a week, rise from the dead, or part the Red Sea. I haven't seen any of this and neither has anyone that's alive on this planet.
Again, can any of you religious people answer the question. You die. What happens to your soul? You say it goes to Heaven but you don't explain how it gets there. Does it float to heaven? Does it warp to another time continuum? Is this another one of those things that I can't see or verify and I just have to have faith without an explanation?
Do you guys believe in ghosts too? Am I surrounded by souls right now? What about people that goto hell? How do their souls get there? Do they float through the ground? Do they ultimately float out into space under the planet while the souls that goto heaven float out of the top of the planet? See how absurd this is?
The Bible doesn't answer any of these questions. It's basically like, believe all of this shit and then when you die, boom, you'll have eternal life and everything you want. Do you know for certain that you have eternal life and that you will go to Heaven when you die? God wants you to be sure! The Bible says: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Suppose you were standing before God right now and He asked you, “Why should I let you into Heaven?” What would you say? You may not know what to reply. What you need to know is that God loves us and has provided a way that we can know for sure where we will spend eternity. The Bible states it this way: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
We have to first understand the problem that is keeping us from Heaven. The problem is this - our sinful nature keeps us from having a relationship with God. We are sinners by nature and by choice. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We cannot save ourselves. “For by grace are you saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves – it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). We deserve death and hell. “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
God is holy and just and must punish sin, yet He loves us and has provided forgiveness for our sin. Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus died for us on the cross: “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18). Jesus was resurrected from the dead: “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25).
So, back to the original question – “How can I know for sure that I will go to Heaven when I die?” The answer is this – believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). You can receive eternal life as a FREE gift. “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). You can live a full and meaningful life right now. Jesus said: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). You can spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven, for He promised: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may also be where I am” (John 14:3).Comment -

Atheists need proof. Religious people make assumptions. My evidence is the over 4000 religions that all worship differently based on how they interpret things. Hell, even within Christianity people can't agree. That's why there are different sects within the same religions. I guess "at least" 99% of the people that are religious are still going to hell because they are worshipping the wrong way. Obviously they can't all be right.

An ancient prehistoric text that's been revised thousands of times and was written by man is not proof. It's a fictional account of the world before people knew how the world worked. We're still not totally there, but we've made progress.
