First juicy limes of the year appeared on the tree this week, so Caribbean Jerk marinated chicken tacos it is - with a black bean/pineapple salsa, cilantro/lime crema. Also, (as some ‘Fly Me’ crew already knows) I pickle my own jalapeño slices, for the salsa. Good weekend all!

I see you use the Ortega brand, as do I.

My go to black and kidney beans is Goya.
Goya is the genuine article at a good price.
You don't have to spend up for the top shelf beans.
I can get a 5/5 deal at Whole Foods every now and then.
Stop and Shop also you can get sales.

I see you use S&W beans.
Good choice, another quality item at a real good price.

If I can't get Goya my backup is Bush, but the couple of times I had S&W beans they were tasty.

Tessie Dog's paw is doing doing better, she hardly limps now.
It's been four days.
Deb (Ally's BFF for forty years, since first grade, and my BFF for the past twenty years) who rents my spare room from me since Ally's back hasn't been right for a long time now, same with my hip.
Actually we don't charge Deb any rent (cash that is)
She's an amazing home keeper, I'm a pretty good home keeper myself considering I'm a dude, but twice or so a week my hip eats me up alive and it's a struggle just to get out of bed. And she, like I said loves our dogs, they love her, I love Ally and Deb, Deb and Ally loves me.
It's a regular trifecta love affair going on here a casa de Nasher.
And she's strong for 5'4 130 lbs. She does a lot of the heavy lifting too, and the driving chores...
And Deb is a great buffer when I annoy Ally, which isn't often, but when I am, it's not pleasant

Any-hoo Deb, who's fantastic with all pets, from birds to cats and dogs..
She put on her Nancy Drew cap and figured out Tessie Dog had one those really annoying hairline split toe nails.
She's getting around so much better now.

And we got ourselves a regular heat wave going on.
The temp is up to 14 degrees.
