We already had a five day heat wave (a heat wave is generally described as three or more consecutive days of 90 degrees plus, there's other loose definitions but whatever) the first week of June.

We usually get this level of heat in July/August, but not usually this early.

We had a Derecho come through last August (essentially an inland hurricane) which ripped out all our trees. So not only do we not have any shade any more (we being a majority of our 180k inhabitants of our town/village/whatever) but nobody has any grass from companies pulling out all the downed trees and driving over the grass last September when it was rainy AF.

So, you know, we planted some trees and some grass in our yard to remedy the situation. Now it's hot as fukk, we haven't had rain in a week plus, and the city is bitching about water consumption. Well no fukk. Everyone is trying to water their trees and shit...

Remember, not only does the Contrarian Fund backbone pick favorites, though not often, a larger portion of those underdogs simply are not contrarian plays.

Regardless...

Hopefully they both show up on whatever screen the you have...

Now, there are a couple of takeaways.

First, units wise, I appear to be underperforming the market as a whole at teams but remember many of these underdogs on the season are not contrarian plays.

I will do another comparison and we'll see how the backbone itself is doing against it's broader market. Instead of comparing apple varieties, we'll compare the same apples to apples.
