i take it you're an excel guy. the id, aka identifier or key, is a unique number used to relate tables to each other, a key concept of SQL or relational databases. maybe these pictures can explain it. SQL is easy to use and powerful, used by companies all over the world. you can retrieve bits and pieces from each table to combine new tables or views. it doesn't make sense to repeat data all over the place, you can structure your databases in a smart way to avoid duplicating data and write queries to combine the data when needed.

#60949That's all sounding very familiar now Doves.
For current relevant information, I've been running a lot of Excel, do a lot of repeating, and do far too much manual input. On top of that, the main sheet I use to input data is a hand written guide, one I use for every sport. That's part of the sharp forecast and many current state of the market metrics.
The stacking forecast is more involved and requires a lot more data manipulation.
Good stuff Doves, and a bit provocative if I do say so myself.
Excuse me, I didn't smell my toothbrush before I brushed my teeth this morning, I think I need some breath freshener...

I'm old school and somethings about the markets never changes. I've said before that the same thing happens every year. To truly get what's going on you have to be more creative. You have to create derivatives of stats, practically create your own stats, to stay dynamic. But you can't go around the block to get next door. A more complete computer program could be written, and one to avoid some of the data input I'm sure, but it's tougher to create the live interface.
I once brought up the potential for that interface with another poster in this thread, he knew some programming too.
It's about the back bone of the system, those things that virtually never change and when they briefly do change, money management carries us through it. Stacking forecast type numbers can find inefficiency in the efficient market, but those often get priced out. It's the nature of the efficient market and you have to stay somewhat ahead of the game.
But the backbone sees the efficient market wax and wane over it, and knows the market isn't always that efficient. It's a bigger picture that often doesn't care about the players' individual stats. Players come and go, season after season. The system always remains.
This is because it's not the information, it's how you use it.
A good thing to collect Doves, along with the individual stats you are grabbing, would be more general league stats. When comparing teams or ratings, compare them to the league in general. Also, organize those stats so you can account and weight for recent performance, the same for the league. These manipulations along with knowledge of lines and price of points will get you very far.
It's great stuff Doves, I'm going to look closer at NBA.com and see if there is anything else useful to grab. With individual info like that, you can develop a rating for each player in the league and inter change them. It would be less one team against another and more this group of players against another. It feels a lot like going around the block to get next door though.
Remember, there's nothing more important than points gained and points given up and the players and possessions can be important there.

#60958fukkin Red Sox won me my big over 92.5 season wins bet
I was bout to be sick cuz all they had to do is win 1 game out of their last 5
1-4 wins it for me , then they lose 3 in a row ... but win today thank god
Marlins under 77.5 should cash as all with 4 games left all they had to win every single one
and them fukkers rallied back last night in the 7th down 5 fukkin runs .... most with 2 out hits
Now tonight and tomorrow decides that shit
Should be over, hell last week or so they was down 5-1 or some shit to the Mets with 2 outs in 9th and stormed back to winComment -

#60959Nice Cash, I had no season win Totals this year in any sport.
I considered OKC in the NBA, I think they surprise with the talent this year. It's the playoffs where they will be built to do well, but others are built too.
I can't find shit for plays and I'm sick of looking. I have plenty to do for NFL, just not feeling like cranking it out.
Calling in eh? You have a better offer?

I'd use the time and get some rest too. Music is better with the bouncing gif for sure.
The stacking forecast shows Colorado and UCLA in a tie 28-28. The public gauge shows Colorado winning by a filed goal in a 57 point game. That's a lot of agreement on Colorado +7.5 and the UNDER 67. This line has moved away from the forecast but the public seems to have sold out UCLA already. It seems like it's ripe time for UCLA, but countering the forecast has not been a wise idea. This game could be a tough one to settle.
Hmmm.
