What is CBD?
CBD – Cannabidiol- is one of the 60 cannabinoids found in cannabis. Cannabinoids are a group of active, naturally occurring compounds found in all cannabis plants. Tetrahydrocannabinol, aka THC is the most well known cannabinoid and is associated with marijuana’s psychoactive properties. Unlike THC, CBD does not cause a “high” effect and can offer relief and benefits without the disconcerting feelings of lethargy or dysphoria. How do cannabinoids interact with the human body and why do cannabinoids cause different effects? To answer this question, we must introduce the endocannabioid system.
The Endocannabinoid System and how CBD works
In the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan poured tens of millions of dollars into a study to prove that marijuana damages the human brain. But, rather than showing how marijuana harms the brain, the Reagan administration ended up subsidizing a series of studies that culminated in the discovery of the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a collection of cell receptors and corresponding molecules (agonists) in the human body. This system helps to regulate sleep, appetite, mood, motor control, immune function, pleasure, pain, reproduction and fertility, memory and temperature regulation. The sharp forecast says Golden State beats San Antonio 116-103. The public gauge has Golden State winning 111-105.
For the Total, we see it between the numbers giving it a much sharper feel, at least in one sense of sharp. But the books still appear to be taking bets on the Over. There are many ways to determine where bets may be going, the best of course is to know the numbers and have industry insiders.
There are services, but they can be unreliable. I wrote post once about how it’s not the information but how you use it, particularly when dealing with posted bet percentage and consensus.
The numbers indicate a high percentage on the Over. Yes, the books are still taking bets on that Over but the sources may be drying up at these numbers. At this point, we can be seeing the general public thirst for Overs at play, as opposed to everyone and their mother on the Over.
One point is that the market may be changing and comparing those percentages to the numbers will help confirm this. Another point is that we are entering stages, as markets change, where this information becomes predictably unreliable, if you will.
So when thinking about how to use betting percentages, know that it’s not only very possible, but it is very likely the numbers we see right now are over stated, a feature that can work two ways. The public may join the high consensus and follow the herd, the predictable non predicting player.
Or, the contrarian (or sharp analyst) can see the numbers starting to level and sense a change in market. This player may take the Under simply because of the Over bet percentage overstatement.
As you may guess, I may think this is a good spot for an Under. As the stream of Over sources of bets are forced to dry up when the numbers fall where they do, perhaps the books seek gain a bit of herd mentality to add to the Over, before it fails.
It sounds great, but truthfully, the mere 1.5 point difference between the forecast and the market along with the suspicious percentages warrants a pass on the Total. It’s time to be patient and see just which way the money will flow.

One more thing, I would expect to see the shown betting percentages across the board even out a bit by game time. If at 80% on the Over now, it should be less by tip as market movers are trying to get ahead of the game..
By close, the numbers should seem to make more sense, at least a little. This would confirm a market shift in the works, but would not give any better of a bet. The pass is wise.

Depending on the time frame, but probably no pound play, the spike already occurred.
Then again, the strong get stronger so probably going to be good long term. If the banks and institutions are involved, you can bet there will be manipulation, I figure it will fall a bit before that eventual next surge.

In fact, in both cases in this thread I was wrong with the golf and the major adjoining event, but interestingly and to know surprise, one case involved a record comeback and one involved a historic upset.

The sharp forecast says Cleveland beats Boston 123-96. The public gauge has Cleveland winning 113-107.
Last night showed an Over, with authority, and the books are right back to a line that’s a bit below the numbers and are readily taking the Over bets.
It’s a tough spot with the Totals as this market won’t last like this forever. In my opinion, this is becoming a sideways market. It shows in a sense with the forecast continually in a 55-45 revolving 100 play record, with little variance, against the openers.
We aren’t at the extremes we’ve seen with forecasted spread but that market line is still very high. This game is far less predictable in that respect than the last time these guys played.
Indeed, the public is hitting the moneyline on Boston much harder tonight than they did in the last game. We could be back to sucker bet mode.
Also, the public gauge, like the last game, shows a 6 point game. There is better chance than not that the Cleveland tests this 6 point margin of victory and the -5.5 teaser line as mentioned on Sunday.
One thought to consider, if there are any surprises left in the NBA, it will have to be Boston evening this series or even taking it. Once we get to the Finals, I doubt there will be any impactful surprises, just a lot of money trading hands.
