Sorry boys was poised to take a huge chip lead heads up, got it allin with 88 vs aggie's 33 and he sucked out obviously so I wind up 3rd - and that after he already caught a miracle on river against me early in tourney in a ~1000 chip pot. I'm pretty sure he has a bot which tells him what cards are going to come on flop/turn/river (might make a thread accusing him of such). But unfortunately I couldn't gain us any ground on World
Going to be rather tough to catch them now, but 3 points behind with 3 tourneys left - certainly still possible! Hope you guys can pull off a miracle for us.
Sorry also about my subpar overall performance - not that I've been great at this format in the past, but 2 points out of 8 is pretty poor. Might have played badly on second and third day, but nothing I could have done today so can't feel bad about that.Comment -

jake and phish, be cognizant of not letting world on the board tomorrow..... don't do a p.o. 69 and crush the other players, leaving world to score a point.....
I know the strategy of not going balls to the wall on confeds and canada can backfire, but we may have to keep our "new found friends" in the trnys to ensure world doesn't pick up a point.....

these are the only players that can play, as the rules state that players can only play 1 time per day, and everybody else played on Wednesday.

Yeah great job guys - especially Jake + empiremaker + cabo + friedcheese, you all played great. I guess those people betting on Jake at +1200 to score the most points for our team were sharper than I gave them credit for! (nothing against Jake, I just didn't think it was smart to take anyone at such odds given the huge probability of a tie at the top of any team).
Of course we were all hoping to win first but second is nothing to be ashamed of (even if we might kill ourselves rolling over!). Sorry again that I punted on Days 2 + 3 (on Day 4 also technically though I think I played great that day just two terrible beats prevented me from getting at least second). But middle two days definitely might have made a couple of poor plays - I don't know. Of course it's easy to be resultist in poker when you get put in a tough spot and end up making a decision which in retrospect was wrong based on the cards.
But at the end of the day, whatever our placing wound up being, I think we all gave it our 100% effort which is all we could really do! So be happy about that at least! See you guys at the tables soon for rolling over and in the future poker promos!Comment -
Yes, crazy how streaky this contest is. Confederates totally tank on Day 3 and seem to be a lock to get last place then make an insane run on Day 4 to pull ahead of Canada, even though they wound up giving it back in the end. But that's poker I guess, the cards can fall insanely different from one day to the next!Comment -

They said they would be awarding the prizes soon so I guess you can start your marathon as soon as that happens, provided there is at least one other person who will play with you!
Me, I probably will wait a little while. A bit of overloaded on poker after all the sweating/hoping this week, seems like good time for a little break. Plus most of the people playing/rolling right now will be players from team USA and would rather not be playing/trying to take chips from nearly all people who were just my teammates!
Hoping there is another poker promo soon so that the dailies provide the masses with rollover points to play with and give us folks from team USA more of a variety of opponents to play against at the cash tables!Comment -
