Tourney today went all in my way. boeing from canada joined but did not play, so he was blinding out. But it worked nicely to me, as the table order was: hax, boeing, cookie, jakepeavy. So, when I was on BB, jake was on earliest position (so, he did not open so often), and hax was tight on button, giving me lots of free passes.
Most of early stage was a continuation of my yesterday match vs Jakepeavy. His stack was low due to a largish hand lost vs hax, and I kept raising on him. At some point he got fed up and adjusted, started 3 betting on me, and even beating me on a shove (I open raised, he reraised and I shove with A3s. He had AA). I had to adjust, playing tighter. But Jakepeavy stack went down again, one more time courtesy of hax. So, we soon entered on another showdown, and this time my JJ hold vs his AK.
The table vs hax and the autofold boeing was anticlimatic. Hax had about 1.5k, vs 1k boeing and 5.5k by me. And hax started playing just to ensure he would not be eliminated before boeing. So, I minraised him to death, even with a 32o, and he folded always. So, by the time boeing was on his last chips, hax had under 600. He "valiantly" went all in vs boeing last chips at SB, I obviously folded. Too bad hax won the showdown, it would have been funny watching him play with about the same chips as boeing. So, we started the heads up 7.3k vs 700, and he had to shove with almost anything. 2 hands later, my 77 beat his J5.
This tournament went sweetly on my way. But I was very lucky, a bit on hands, a lot in table position. I am sure tomorrow will not be so easy.
And congratulations to all members of our team. Even with many obstacles (3 tourneys damaged by connection issues), we are holding our own.

this will be a tight one. we will need a strong anchor for friday. one who thrives under pressure. i sense that last 11 pm tourney is going to determine 1st or 2nd for us or 2nd or 3rd . or maybe even 1st or 3rd the way this thing is going . we already have a strong anchor but just letting you know i can change from 12pm to 11pm (8:30 am my time) if need be. my connection problems are pretty much resolved (still happens now and then but my thoughts on using the ethernet cable and opti persuading me to go with it has made my connection solid)
so if you need an anchor and you want me at that spot ill play it. otherwise ill play my usual 12 pm .
last day, lets do this.. i aint rolling over 2000+ pts at the poker tables
