yes very healthy... i was watching NFL Network the other day and Dolphins staff was excited. They said he was beating the D Ends around the corner on the sweep all day. He looked good

Yea instead of marijuana, he should re-establish himself one more time around with roids and HGH. This could be his last chance so prove Mike Ditka you were worth the 7 or 8 draft picks Williams!!! Don't leave for India either by week 8

Ricky is not an old running back because he really has not played that much. I thought he looked ok in his brief stint last year.

I think a few years off could turn out to be good for him and the dolphins. By taking the break, his knees must be in great shape and after lifting and getting the endurance up, he should be solid. True skill never leaves the player in my opinion

6 carries for 15 yards and a fumble thats a real brief stint JJ to be even catagorized as "ok" but im with you i think he still has some upside in him that cars been parked for a while now .............

Austin-American Statesman had a good article on Rick yesterday. He's doing well, getting drug-tested 3 times a week, completely rehabbed from the shoulder injury, and is getting along with Parcells (who called him a "street baller"). Remember that Ronnie Brown is attempting to come back from a pretty serious injury... According to the article, Ricky is slated, at the time, to get 18-20 touches a game. Who knows?

BTJ he got stepped on by a line backer. I won't be surprised if we see the old school Ricky Williams as a ace RB this year. The fins also have Ronnie Brown so no worries on there run game.

With all of the focus on Brown's rehabbing knee, I'm more than a little concerned for him. He's only 7-8 months removed from surgery.

Totally agree. He is not even a good 3rd down back although he can catch the ball. He wont avg more than 2.5 ypc this year and probably a good chance he wont make the final cut.

Ricky will be in starting backfield this year, Miami has nothing so he has to play.

They keep Ricky around for two reasons:\

1. He owes the Dolphins money so they have him by the balls and can pay him the minimum.

2. He knows where to get the good Chronic in Miami cheaply so Parcells can relax at night.

John, during his year with the Argos in the CFL he excelled at blocking. He wasn't the feature back. He ended up being the blocking back for Avery half the time.

If you see a prop on if he makes the final cut let me know. There are a lot of good backs around, young backs. I hope he shocks me and has a great preseason but he was never one who came into camp in great shape. Id love to take +money on him not making the final cut. I like him but his time has passed.

im not funded right now at any books. Dont have a lot of money to my name right now. College student barely scraping by paying the bills and putting food on the table... but I will do $100 bet have to pay by NFL Week 1. Trust me dude dont take the bet Ricky will make the roster 100%

Ive followed Ricky since his high School days. He always had the talent. But to play running back you need more than talent. Another dude steps on his back like last year and he aint getting up. Hes out there to make some money. The passion is gone.

We will make it a gentlemans bet. I'd say true odds that he misses the final cut should be around 2-1. He probably will make the team but very far from a lock. He needs a good preseason to land a roster spot imo.
