will the casino ever payout, or just keep taking my points like usual?
Changes coming to the SBR Points program, August 1st.

#3195x's rollover is screwing many here as I have always gave them points but am being forced to stop. The rollover makes my poker points much more valuable being very tough to control.
What is the percentage of people capable of achieving 5x's rollover??? I am quite good and believe my changes of rollover is only 10-15% or less.
I see this as hurting poker as many will leave. I'm up to a boycott but don't believe one is possible as too many sick ones here.Comment -

#322In the tech world a deadline apparently is an approximate date.
Changes will begin next week but they will be very subtle.
A couple of changes to the changes that have not been announced are;
points won in sports contests like beat the prick will have a 1x rollover, not 5x. points won in poker will have a 3x rollover, not 5x. Points won at trivia will not have a roll over.
Points will be sold and bought from those who qualify. Sorry no US citizens. Wait for the printed requirements on how to buy and sell because I do not know. To start with Moneybookers is the only processor we will have.
As far as the Pro program goes; you will be able to go Pro and renew in a number of ways. We have a couple of charities, at least one line service, 2 fantasy sites and of course the usual way with a sportsbook account.
That's about all I can remember. The changes will be implemented as they become ready during August.Comment -

#324Yeah the trivia one is huge because that's a bigger source of points than the rest of the stuff.
Also 3x rollover rather than 5 on poker is much better.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#326The major question will be with BEAT THE PRICK. If this contest becomes points only for US Citizens, then there is ZERO chance of me staying a pro.Comment -

#334Thanks for the updates...seem much more reasonable.
Couple questions though:
1. I assume all points accrued prior to Aug 1 are exempt from rollover requirements?
2. As I'm getting close, what about anniversary points? Rollover required?Comment -

#335No roll on points you have. No roll on anniversary awards either.
Keep in mind the rollover part of the program is ONLY on points won in some kind of contest. Daily points given for visiting have no rollover.Comment -

#339For players who so wish, the option to turn Pro by making a $200 a year charitable contribution will be made available. The regular option of depositing $200 in a sponsor sportsbook remains unchanged.
Eliminate points given for first post. We will increase the amount of points given for a login visit to compensate. Non pros will still get 6 points a day and Pro's will get 12. The only net effect is a visitor is not required or offered incentive to post. (the forums are plenty busy)
All poker contests will be given poker points as prizes. Prize levels will significantly increase as a result. Poker points must be rolled 5x in the open play ring games before they are transferred to the regular points wallet.
Sports and related contests will be given sportsbook points and casino points. All points awarded for logging into the site will be immediately available to purchase items in the store or transfer or any other action desired. After the rollover is met the points will be immediately transferred from the bonus wallet to the regular wallet.
There will be no semi annual price increase for mid 2011. Therefore there will be no increases until after the Superbowl in 2012. In the unlikely event there is no Superbowl, the date that there would have been a Superbowl is the day the next increase will be considered.
SBR will buy and sell SBR points. Sorry no US citizens may participate. Moneybookers and Neteller will be the only transfer options offered.

There will be your normal points, points you keep in book that do not need rollover, and then there will be a 'casino' account (points that have be rolled in casino) and a 'poker' account (points that have to be rolled at poker tables).[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

On Beat The Prick; Yes, weekly will be points, 50,000 per week, yearly prizes will be paid in cash. Must be a Pro by the 4th week to qualify for year end prizes. Oh and Pro's win double on all weekly prizes.Comment -

When you win in free SBR sponsored tourneys you will win "poker points". Poker points live in a special wallet in the poker program. They will automatically become full fledged and unrestricted points(and moved to your regular wallet) once you put them into the open table ring games with a 3x rollover. We want to promote more open table play.

#345Wow John on the football contest. All you need to do is give away some of those nice prizes like laptops for weekly prizes would be a very good idea and maybe free funds for fantasy games also. I do think points is a good idea as.long as the store has more options.Comment -
