I don't have data at this point but I will look it up. Early in the year I was winning no score in first inning a bunch and under in 1st 5 and several games. If I had to guess I would say playing on the over in the 1st 5 and YES to score in the 1st inning would have been far more profitable in the last couple of weeks. The reason this may be a bit more accurate than a guess is because my bankroll said so. Pitchers always dominate early and then the bats come alive. Of course oddsmakers are all over this and will move lines accordingly but it takes them a bit of time in baseball it seems. I agree totally with saints statement the 1st 5 innings is better than playing the whole game so far this year. I don't know if I have ever seen a year that bullpens were this unreliable.

Also, pitchers (i believe) are lot more likely to modify their style in the offseason (adding pitches to their repertoire, changes in the action on those they already utilize, etc...). Scouting reports eventually catch up to this. The ? is, which pitchers are mentally sharp enough to use this "checked" status to their advantage and make the subsequent proper move in this game of chess. The answer is... not everyone is Greg Maddux... If they're figured out, they're figured. Just cut the cord and watch their numbers balloon... Another factor is the offseason jumbling of rosters. It is always to the advantage of the pitcher to have not been previously faced, whether they are the relocated or not.

Oh, yeah... the heat, too. More impactful to a pitcher that exerts himself on every pitch through one half of each inning... Sweaty hands don't help your grip on the ball, either... Maybe they should put knobs on the ends of the balls.

Jut bet on pitchers who can potentially shut out the opposing team for the first 5 innings. if it 0-0 u got a push. If ur team scores, u win. So just look for good pitchers and shitty hitting matchups. Like Roy against the padres.

See if u can make some money on NBA tomorrow or NHL. Dont worry bro, we all have losing streaks. Just gotta fight through by losing just the minimal.
