Meanwhile, two new indictments were unsealed on Monday charging two businesses and three people with operating an illegal gambling business and money laundering, prosecutors said there.

As part of the case, 10 Internet sites were seized under a court order, including Bookmaker.com and Truepoker.com. Eleven bank accounts were also seized in the United States, Guam, Panama, Malta, Portugal and the Netherlands.

I withdrew 2K from there about 2-3 weeks ago when the government seized a bunch of poker sites (where I had $550), but I still have $350 left. The site still seems functional. So I don't understand what's going on, but it may be impossible to make withdrawals. That's the way it was for the Poker sites.

I have $3500 on another site that I'm worried about.

I have to say, with all the serious crime in this country, I can't believe they are going after sites that provide people a way to relax and play some poker, horses, sports etc... and lock up their money. I hate all these bastards. I'd tell what I would like to see happen, but they'll probably come and lock me up. :-)

re read my post. There are terrorists that need to be caught and alot worse things going on in the world than some simple gambling. And its not hurting anyone and done in the privacy of your own home. The government is cracking down because they are not getting their cut.

I don't get how they are seizing bank accounts outside of the U.S. Not saying I know anything about weather or not this is true, just didn't think we had jurisdiction outside of the U.S.

wow it appears the original domain has been seized after all. amazing! I didn't think after all these years the fed gave a damn about online sports gambling. So many other offshore books might cave in and stop accepting US players if Bookmaker gets sent under.

For the record it is based in Cyprus. All books are outside of the US hence the name offshore.
