1 year of gambling experience is not long enough to determine how successful you will be in the long term.
Expecting to make 100K is a huge stretch even for many of the sharpest players in the industry let alone a 19 year old kid who has been gambling for a year.Comment -

#40Sharpcat, I respect you. Trust me when I say I know exactly what I'm doing here. I picked 57% in over 2000 games this year and have done nothing but profit. It's not like I have always lost and I'm making a hot-headed guarantee. I know I win, I have a growing bankroll, I'm smart, and I will most likely make over 100k in the coming year.
Assuming that you would be extremely fortunate and you averaged a 2% edge per play over a high volume of plays you would have to wager over $5,000,000 a year in order to make $100,000.
Trust me 90% of professional sports gamblers do not make $100,000 in a year and the ones that do started out with a $100,000 bankroll.
What ever high school level math you used to come up with this ridiculous figure is wrong.Comment -

#44line movement is? I placed a bet on the Falcons against Saints. They seem to be on the right line but lost anyway (though my instinct told me underdogs are the best bet, I missed out on the Bengals win against Chargers). I placed a bet for the Cowboys to have a total points of -26. They scored at 27. Please CLOWN, post your picks and let's see if these imaginary "lines" you speak of is legit.
I need a big win enough to withdraw my wins so I can see if Bet Phoenix is legit in paying out (I heard they were but I need to find out myself).Comment -

#45This is a very important question for the professionals on this forum and also for those of you who get plays and advice from these pros. Who do you subscribe to? Is it someone on here? If you are a true pro on here, how much do you charge for your plays? I'm not looking for your typical service that says here's your plays. I'm looking for someone who tells you "Team A just opened at +8 and it should probably be something like +5. pound that line." It needs to be personal like that. I'm looking for real pros to buy these plays from and to also learn from and get to know on a personal level so they can teach me. Plz post or PM if you are one of these people whom I seek.
I would love to hear from some people on here who are true sports betting professionals. I want to learn how to do this for a living but so many people on here are just focused on picks for the day and betting in dumb situations. I want to learn from a true professional. I want to learn about sharp $, reverse line moves, anticipating line movement, +e.v. spots and individual sportsbook's tendencies. Anyone?Comment -

#54I don't do ANY statistical research or have a fukn database like many of you goons. I just watch some games, watch some market movement(most important) and just own this shit. Baseball is just easy. Hockey is just easy. College football is just easy. College basketball is just easy. The NBA is extremely easy. The NFL is my favorite. It's hilarious how every week there's a few games where most clowns like you guys are on one side of the game, yet the line barely moves, stands still, or even moves in favor of you clowns(called reverse line movement. look it up.). Yet you still bet away at the wrong side. And what do I do? I take your money by being on the right side. Yes, there are sides. The sports books let guys like me win so that they can squeeze max value from clowns who can't find the right side of an off line. Don't feel bad. 95% of sports bettors are clowns like you.Comment -

#62Easy?
It feels easy when you're on a winning streak. It's a very dangerous thing because during a winning streak, you think you're invincible. You lower your guard and take more risk such as increasing dramatically your stakes, chasing your losses etc. But when everything turns out cold, you realize the truth.
Sports Betting (and Trading) is not easy. It's a very challenging job.Comment -

#65If you think this is easy, it's my guess you've been at this about three days.
I'll look to hear how good you feel after some 19-year-old goes 0-for-5 from the free throw line in the final minute of a game and you end up with a half-point loss.Comment -

#66Calm down kid and respect your elders, common sense tells us that you are running at the mouth besides being on tilt. Like prior poster says being off to a good start could lead to very bad later and this is obviously where you are headed. The only thing that you are doing right is being here, but better to listen & study then to show your ass.Comment -
