You'd think they'd learned their lesson on hiring young and/or inexperienced coaches ... Troy Calhoun would be a horrible move IMO. I know he coached with Shanahan, but that's a dumb reason to pick a coach. Seems like a classic case of out with the young punk in with the old vet with discipline. Bowlen is already paying a boatload of money to Shanahan and McDaniels though, so the theory is he may hire cheap. Hire cheap, get what you pay for ... I'd pony up for experience or stick it to the elder Shanahan by hiring his son.Comment -
McDaniels was a bad hire. This clown blew the Super Bowl against the Giants with a terrible game plan, and was awful in Denver trying to act like a prick like Belichick and Parcells.

I'm not arguing that Tebow may prove to be a terrible pick. The fact of the matter is the jury is still out on him. He hasn't been given an opportunity to play, to this point.
I'm just pointing out, that to this point, that's not anywhere near his worst personnel decision.

I think the Tebow pick will turn out the best thing he's done. Tebow has looked stellar in the games he's played in. Unfortunately for McD, he didn't want to play him in his first year and hanged his hat on Orton. When your losing games, what do you have to lose? He should have started Tebow and give the fans and front office something to look forward to. His stubbornness and spying got him fired. To be fair, his team was hit with a rash of injuries.Comment -

Stellar?????? The guy has ran a couple goal line offenses and made a 1 yard TD pass!!! He didnt play Tebow cause Tebow doesnt release the ball fast and accurate enough and would have exposed the ridiculousness of that draft pickl/trade up!!! Injuries???
