    heres a list i use when i go shopping for food. some expensive, some not. not sure what you like, but these are all packed with protein:

    chicken
    turkey
    salmon
    tuna
    cottage cheese
    swordfish
    haddock
    round steak
    sirloin steak
    lean ground beef
    eggs
    pork
    crab
    lobster
    shrimp

      also whey protein. not sure if your into those shakes or not. you can get a good deal online. they sell like 5lb tubs of it for pretty cheap. just gotta look around.

                Creatine is just a start buddy. To get maximum benifits from the gym you'll need about 5-10 other suppliments stacked with it and each taken at precise times though out the day and pre/post workout.

                If you want to be serious about this, there are much better forums out there that will have very good information. bodybuilding dot com is a start, good forum on supplements.

                      I took it in high school/college. I mean, its something to take. You have to take it and work your ass off for it to work. If you want a easy way then take roids, if you don't work hard. That's all there is to it. I'll never ever blame someone for taking steroids...esp since I've seen it save people's careers and boost their pay checks.

                          BSN have great products and NO Xplode is great for that xtra boost, but it cost much, you can buy L-arginine and coffee pills instead. I wasn't kidding with the gallon per day though, that and squads (1*20) will do wonders ..

                          you can take roids and become a lesser man or you can actually work you ass off and become a bigger man

                          Department of Kinesiology/Center for Sports Medicine, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park 16802, USA.

                          PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of creatine supplementation in conjunction with resistance training on physiological adaptations including muscle fiber hypertrophy and muscle creatine accumulation. METHODS: Nineteen healthy resistance-trained men were matched and then randomly assigned in a double-blind fashion to either a creatine (N = 10) or placebo (N = 9) group. Periodized heavy resistance training was performed for 12 wk. Creatine or placebo capsules were consumed (25 g x d(-1)) for 1 wk followed by a maintenance dose (5 g x d(-1)) for the remainder of the training. RESULTS: After 12 wk, significant (P < or = 0.05) increases in body mass and fat-free mass were greater in creatine (6.3% and 6.3%, respectively) than placebo (3.6% and 3.1%, respectively) subjects. After 12 wk, increases in bench press and squat were greater in creatine (24% and 32%, respectively) than placebo (16% and 24%, respectively) subjects. Compared with placebo subjects, creatine subjects demonstrated significantly greater increases in Type I (35% vs 11%), IIA (36% vs 15%), and IIAB (35% vs 6%) muscle fiber cross-sectional areas. Muscle total creatine concentrations were unchanged in placebo subjects. Muscle creatine was significantly elevated after 1 wk in creatine subjects (22%), and values remained significantly greater than placebo subjects after 12 wk. Average volume lifted in the bench press during training was significantly greater in creatine subjects during weeks 5-8. No negative side effects to the supplementation were reported.

                          CONCLUSION: Creatine supplementation enhanced fat-free mass, physical performance, and muscle morphology in response to heavy resistance training, presumably mediated via higher quality training sessions.

                                  Creatine is great to see a bigger number on the scale and thats about it. You retain water weight. I'm pretty sure thats not what you want going into football season.

                                  Google Starting Strength and thank me later. Eat tons of clean food, workout smart and hard, stick to squats and deadlifts as your main lifts, do 25 of one or the other each time you are in the gym and you'll be fine in the long run. GL mate

                                    Nice list, but don't forget about the fat. You need a significant amount of it, especially if you're doing high protein. Avocados, olive oil, olives, almonds and whole milk are a great addition to what Cmattis is buying.

                                      it is just a precaution. If you take it , lactic acid occuring slow down.(it doesn't reduce lactic acid level) If you want to do more exercise, you may take creatine. it is not a miracle but necessary. We can give to race horses it, even which is not doping

                                          I only take whey immediately after working out. If I have a protein shake on an off day, it's usually Muscle Milk.

                                                LOL yer I am not taking creatine, just thought a study would be fun reading, yer geeky I know ..

                                                Have you guys tried Vitargo Pure..had trouble gaining cause I have high metabolism, but after incorporate that with my shake direct after the workout, I saw results straight away! I also try to have an extra protein shake as snack sometime during the day between the main courses and one direct after workouts.

                                                      I know you don't want to read this, but hear me out. JJ and that other guy had it right. To get big you must take steroids, but only if you have at least 6 or 7 years experience lifting. Before that timeframe, stick with the creatine, protein, N.O. for energy etc...

                                                      Steroids are safe if you know how to use them, and there is really no reason to be against them (proper PCT etc...). I don't know how old you are, but when you get in your late 20's, everyone at the gym is using roids. It is very common and creatine will not cut it once you hit a plateau after your first few years lifting.

                                                        So builders from 40 and 50s is just Fantasy then... when you hit a plateau you change workouts to constantly make it hard for your body. Can only speak for myself and my beliefs, bottom line is to find something that fits yourself, no matter what that may be. I saw a great documentary about this subjects about drogs.. "bigger, stronger, faster"

                                                          Creatine is probably the only supplement I would recommend.

                                                          Make sure you drink whole milk, which has natural growth hormones, and a lot of bananas.
