It's apparent that you did not read the thread. He was putting up christmas lights on his house, and his dog ate a wild mushroom growing in the yard. I have no idea if you are familiar with dogs, but they eat freaking anything. My dog used to like eating cat shit - it was like a super treat to him or something.

#38I asked my friends this question last sunday, and we haven't come up with an answer yet, but I wonder just how much meat would a dog eat, if he had all he wanted. I mean, if you put down 5 raw chickens, all cut up, a couple pounds of hamburger meat, 5 steaks, etc, would he just eat it all? Everytime I give my dog meat, he wolfs it down like it was spaghetti - gone in a few seconds. Unless there's bones in the meat (I only give him raw meat if it has bones in it), then he'll munch on it for a little bit.Comment -

#40Reminds me of the time me and my mates were smoking weed. This horse followed us because it liked the smell, I think. So we puffed into the fucker's face. Pretty sure it had it effects since he started running around in circles and then collapsed. Ran away from there as fast as we could.Comment -

#49I don't get high with my dog. I was just saying that animals will seek out intoxication just as much as we do. We learned it from them, not the other way around.Comment -

#51We didn't learn how to get high from testing it out on animals first. We first observed monkeys and birds eating fruits/berries, and they would begin to act funny, ie falling down, etc. They were eating rotten fruit that had fallen onto the ground. The sugars in the fruit would ferment, creating natural alcohol. Humans observed this process, and that is how we first learned about alcohol in the first place. And it was either sheep or llamas showed us coffee. I forget which species of animal showed us cocaine.
But we learned it from them, not the other way around. So, while I don't do it myself, to say that it would be idiotic to get an animal high is rather idiotic itself, since they will do it with or without us, and were doing so long before we even knew about it.

#54your dog will either be fine or it is already too late as its liver has begun dying, an irreversible process. might help if you posted a pic of the mushrooms for identification though.
and to all the people saying he shouldnt have pets or whatever, what gives? his dog was in the yard and ate some wild mushrooms. you take it to the vet and all they are gonna do is pump its stomach, but if it has already puked a lot then there really isnt much they can do either. with mushroom poisoning, you are either fine or you need a liver transplant.Comment -

#55pavy youve never heard of people going on collection trips? you absolutely have to know what you are looking for but many mushrooms grow all over the place, backyards, woods, etc. that contain the chemicals necessary for hallucinations.Comment -
