I tend to agree with you regarding the number of picks (as I turn in 2 more plus a teaser). However, the $50 bankroll is the hardest part to deal with...like anything else in life, you have to have money to make money. My plan, if you want to call it that, is to cap like I have always capped...go with the plays I feel confident on, and don't reach. Today, I feel good about these selections...tomorrow's I might only have 3 plays. My only rules are that each wager won't go above 5% of what my bankroll is....and as it plays along, I don't want to risk more than 20-25% of my entire bankroll in one night's action.
If nothing else, this will be a fun little project, and I appreciate the feedback.

I agree. See the response I just posted.
Well that's it for me tonight, and again...BOL to all of you on whatever wagers you have going this evening. Let's turn a profit; that's what this is all about.

Sideloaded...I'll say it again for those in the cheap seats...
1) I'm not a tout. I just handicapped my own games for years and have done ok. I ain't selling a service.
2) There ain't no Xmas 'gimmick'. I wanted to try this for years to see if I could do it. I wanted a goal. And the goal is, if I happen to make a little extra bread from this, I'm gonna go a little more hogwild on the Christmas presents for everyone. It's just a carrot for myself.
Hope that clarifies

Haters gonna hate. I say it sounds like a fun idea. It doesn't seem like taking this too seriously, just looking for some entertainment. I say GL to you. Win or lose, as long as your not trying to sell a service, I wish you the best.

Looks like you had a good night. BOL on your goal.
With parlays it makes it easier to reach your goal but at the same time can eat at profits. I say do your thing and see where it goes.

Thanks, Flexin. I'm just getting ready to do the day's recap, and you're right about the parlays...I have to be very conscious of when I pull the trigger with them.

Getting the first few picks in early; waiting on the lines for the rest...
PICK #7: Denver Nuggets vs. Indiana Pacers UNDER 209.5 (-110)
Denver is averaging 99 points this season on the road, Indiana is averaging 94 at home. Denver is playing b2b here, and in their two games so far this season in this situation they have put up 107 and 103 (both on the road) against the Rockets and Mavs. Indiana has put up 90, 75 and 99 in their L3, the first and last coming at home. Most telling is that this season, the Under is 4-0 for the Nuggets on the road and 2-0 for the Pacers at home. My analysis shows this one ending up at a 104-96 game for Denver, so the UNDER is a very good play.
I’m wagering $3.25 to win $6.20
________________________________________ _______________
PICK #8: Minnesota TWolves vs. LA Lakers UNDER 215.5 (-110)
The TWolves are averaging 97 points on the season, and 92 on the road. The Lakers are putting up a solid 114 points for the season, and averaging the same at home. The L3 times these teams have met, the scores were 97-88, 104-96 and 104-92 - the L2 taking place on the Lakers home court – and the Under won in all 3. The biggest stat is that when the O/U line is 212 or higher this year, the Under is 2-0 for the Lakers at home and 2-0 for the Twolves on the road. My analysis shows this one ending up with the Lakers coming out on top 110-95 and clearly sailing under the line.
I’m wagering $3.25 to win $6.20

PICK #9: LA Lakers -9 in First Half (-115)
On the season, the Lakers are 5-2 in winning the first half by a margin of 59-49, losing only to a Rockets team in the season opener that came out of the gates strong and to the Raptors, who LA quite frankly played down to. You can bet your asses that Phil Jackson will have pointed that out and won’t have them make that mistake again. On the flip side of the coin, the TWolves have pretty much sucked ass in the 1H all year. On the season they are 2-5 in the first half and 0-5 in the L5, losing by an average margin of 49-60. They have also been held to under 50 in three of their seven games. Face it…Minnesota is going to be going through the motions tonight in a game that they simply cannot win, with a meeting for Sacramento tomorrow on the schedule. Bank on LA winning the 1H tonight by at least 10 points.
I’m wagering $2 to win $3.74
________________________________________ ________________
PICK #10: Denver Nuggets -2 vs. Indiana Pacers (-110)
Everyone is going to say that the Nuggets are playing b2b games, but they covered the spread in b2b games this season against the Rockets (winning by 16) and the Mavs (winning by 11) – both on the road. Indy keeps it close for a while, but they just don't have the team to beat Denver. The Nuggets take the game and cover the spread.
I’m wagering $3.25 to win $6.20

DAY 2 RECAP:
Ugh…horrible night last night. The Pacers came out and completely destroyed the Nuggets, and that game alone had me in the hole for 2 of my picks and set the tone for the entire night. But hey, it’s gonna happen…I didn’t expect to go 45 days without having some clunkers.
Thankfully, the strong first day I had has kept me okay, down just one unit from where I needed to be at the close of Day 2. I just need to bust out a really good night tonight and make up that extra unit. Picks will be coming later this afternoon.

DAY 3's ACTION...
PICK #13: Orlando Magic -11 vs. Utah Jazz (-110)
The Jazz have lost 3 of the last 4 against the Magic, but even beyond any numbers I have to look at the fact that Utah is coming off last nights incredible come-from-behind OT win against Miami. The high pace they played in the second half PLUS the OT period PLUS the b2b situation all adds up to a blowout loss to the Magic tonight. Last night was the Utah’s game 7 win, today is their letdown and the Magic’s party.
I’m wagering $5.00 to win $9.55
________________________________________ __________________________
PICK #14: Memphis Grizzlies -1.5 vs. Dallas Mavericks (-110)
Memphis has won their L2 by an average of 9.5 points, while in their L3 Dallas has eked out a win over the Celtics (by 2), lost to the overachieving Nuggets (by 11) and won over those same Nuggets (by 1). Historically, Memphis has taken 3 of the L4 of this matchup on their own court, winning by 16, 5 and 20 and only losing by 4. Dallas has not opened a season 3-0 on the road in 8 years, and this year won’t be any different with Memphis’ Zach Randolph back in the lineup. His return has the Grizzlies on the upswing – winning 2 of their last 3 - and he has eight straight double-doubles against Dallas.
I’m wagering $3.00 to win $5.73
________________________________________ _______________
PICK #15: Milwaukee Bucks +7 vs. Atlanta Hawks (-110)
The revenge factor comes into play on this matchup more than any stats I’m looking at. After leading 3-2 in the Eastern Conference series last year, the Bucks – who were without Andrew Bogut - were beaten the last two games by Atlanta. Not just beaten…crushed. This season though, it’s a little different. Atlanta opened the year up strong but has lost the L2, while Milwaukee is coming together. Brandon Jennings has struggled somewhat in the early part of this season, but tonight he gets his groove back for some retribution and the Bucks get their first b2b win of the season.
I’m wagering $3.00 to win $5.73
________________________________________ ________________
PICK #16: Charlotte Bobcats vs. Toronto Raptors OVER 193.5 (-110)
This line initially came out at 194.5, so getting the extra point was a bonus. The Raptors are one of, if not THE, worst teams in the NBA, giving up an average of 104 ppg per contest this season. And Charlotte has been struggling all season offensively, but this matchup against the Raptors may be just what the doctor ordered.
I’m wagering $3.00 to win $5.73
________________________________________ ____________________
PICK #17: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Sacramento Kings OVER 212 (-110)
While their respective offenses are averaging just below 212 points (Minnesota is averaging 92 on the road, Sacramento is averaging 101 at home), fireworks always seem to happen when these teams play each other. These teams are 8-4 to the over in their L12, and a perfect 4-0 Over the L2 seasons on Sacramento’s court. I’m playing the percentages on this one.
I’m wagering $3.00 to win $5.73
________________________________________ ____________________
PICK #18: San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers UNDER 194.5 (-110)
These two teams normally play to the Over; in fact, the Over is 6-1-2 in the L9 games. However, I’m looking beyond past trends and focusing on the here and now. Eric Gordon is out and Baron Davis is playing with a gimpy leg for the Clippers, who only scored 82 against New Orleans yesterday. I see them not even in this game at all from the opening tip off, and if they score 80 it will be a small miracle. San Antonio will be playing its bench by the beginning of the 3Q and will be happy with a 108-80 win.
I’m wagering $3.00 to win $5.73
Might have some parlays up in a bit....

Observations from last night:
1 - The Jazz have got to be the greatest freakin' comeback team since Elway's Broncos.
2 - San Antonio's bench is pretty damn good.
Rough night last night, but I ain't ever throwing in the towel. The nice part about this project is that the initial bets were so small, I wasn't going to kill my bankroll with one or two bad nights. The drawback is that I'm not ahead at all, and I should be slightly up. So I'm looking at a few different things for tonight to "get me back in the game". Anyway, here's the DAY 3 RECAP...
