I won't argue. The bats are in a slump, but they have the potential to score 7-8 runs a game. I am confident the runs will come cheap for the Phillies soon enough.

well they might make it to the series but if they don't start hitting they won't the beat the AL team in the WS. Crazy game tonight but they pulled it out despite lidges epic fail

Phillies. This team is one of the most inconsistent in baseball. They just got swept by the damn Houston Astros and cost me a pretty penny. This team has no business even being in the playoffs much less winning it all. I hope and pray some other team qualifies for the wild card in the national league like the dodgers or giants.

Batting lineup is potent.Potential scoring couldn't be much better. I believe they are averaging 5 runs a game now. Gotta be confident in that aspect. Picking up Oswalt seems to be paying off. Halladay should shine come postseason. Kendrick seems to be a little better as is Blanton. Bullpen still a concern. Madsen seems to have got it together, but Lidge still worries me. All in all like how things are going. Not at all worried about the Braves. Getting excited can't wait for October!

It'll be a close race from here on out to see if they even get into the playoffs. if they do get in they have to be more consistent. Even so an AL team will probably still win it all.

Yeah I here ya. Hoping for the best with them. You never know. Hamels on the bump tomorrow against the struggling Marlins. Hamels has been stellar this season and his record doesn't show it cuz he gets no run support. C'mon Phillies show Cole some love and score some runs tomorrow.

Looking more and more like a Phillies/Yankees matchup in the series again. Phillies have the better pitching. Gotta give the nod to the Yanks for there bullpen. Way better than what the Phillies are working with. Batting I'd say is about even between these teams. If the Phillies can close games consistantly without problem in these final weeks perhaps Lidge, Madson, Contreras and Durbin can get it together. Phillies have been relying on their starters for the most part and the Phillies pen is the least used as far as innings in the NL for 2010 I don't blame them. the hard-throwing Scott Mathieson was recalled.The Phillies added Nate Robertson, Mike Zagurski and Vance Worley, who could take Kyle Kendrick’s spot in the rotation for the last month or come on in relief for the remainder of the year. Interesting to see how things work out here. I do feel real good with the starting rotation with Halladay, Hamels, Oswalt and not so much with Kendrick.

of course sir. Now with oswalt and hamels deal I think Phillies have the edge on this one, still we don't know how it's gonna play out. Pettite can come back strong and AJ might start dealing, if that happens it'll be very interesting.

Phils odds to win it all down to +250. Closely trailing the Yanks at +225. I want to see the Yanks in the World Series but the Rays and Twins are going to be tough to get by

no one in the NL compares to the phils in a 5-7 game series with halladay hamels and oswalt goin out there. and the fact their offense is back to normal, its almost a lock. i say a phils-yanks series with the phils in 6 cuz of their pitching.
