I don't feel awful, more disappointed I didn't get to walk on my own accord.
Warnings of cutbacks were rumored for some time. And considering I was most senior in my group and butted heads with management made me a no brainer.
Gut punch came when they wouldn't let me walk back to my workspace to collect my things and say goodbye to my colleagues without security escorts. I know that a common policy, but still - sucks.
I'm 26 - not sure if I want to remain a cog in the political machinery of a DC law firm anymore.
So, other than the obvious (applying for jobs and interviewing) what do you all do to pass your excess downtime??
Many Thanks
