Funny how people think Shadeur was "owed" a lofty draft position. If any of those owners/coaches thought he was franchise changing quarterback, they would have jumped at the opportunity, much less wait until the 5th round. If Sanders is so great, he'll earn the bag in the long run, it's still there for the taking, it just isn't getting dropped in his lap right out of the gate is all.

What’s wrong with calling yourself the greatest? I’ve never met a winner that didn’t expect to win. Nor a loser that didn’t expect to lose. Winners learn to plaster positive affirmations all over the place. I wouldn’t want someone that didn’t think they were a big deal.

I'd agree for the most part but there's a big difference in being confident and believing in yourself as opposed to being arrogant and delusional. That coupled with some of the other baggage and concerns that he will likely bring along is a major cause for concern.

To have that type of attitude, you can get away with it if your talent is off the charts....not for a likely backup QB.

Belief in your own greatness and announcing it to the world without evidence are two different things. The silent assassins who sweat and toil when the crowds have dispersed and the cameras are off are typically the ones to fear. Shadeur just seems like he's inhabiting a character and hoping to sway believers with words rather than actions.
