Hernandez has a long history of involvment with murders, even though he was never formally charged. This time he is finished. He did not even have an attorney present when they picked him up. They treated him like what he is, a common low life scum bag.

Also remember he is being sued for shooting a guy that was swept under the rug until this event occurred. Obviously he is affiliating himself with the wrong type of people. I think this was a good move by the patriots even he is innocent.

2nd degree. A crime of passion. An arguement occured they were drunk and since Hernandez is a thug he has guns laying around his house... he picked one up and shot and killed his friend. And then took the body down the street to hide it.

If this was 1st degree he would have not murdered him at his home. And i would hope for his sake he would have done a little more planning and taken measures to make sure the body and evidence was not found.
